If you haven’t before in the winter do the Ousel falls hike. The frozen waterfalls are awesome! It’s just through the big sky town center on the left heading up towards the YC.
Most standard trailers will not have a problem with the short bed at all. The only reason Clete had a problem was the wedge was so wide and extended another foot or 2 over the hitch ball.
It’s all about buying the right gooseneck. Some trailers are made only for long box others have been designed for the short box. Match your trailer to your truck

You'll love the Mega cab, Had one for 10 years, the back seat is amazing, So much room. Yes the bed is a little shorter, but unless it's a work thing, it just wont matter enough. The more room for kiddos, gear, Demo, all the stuff. Cannot give them more props. I miss my Mega cab. Was a great truck. Get used to parking at the far end of the lot is all.

Good choice. There is actually more leg room in a crew cab then a mega cab. Look at the specs. But there is storage behind the seats in a mega and the rear sets recline
Ram doesn’t make a platinum that is Ford. Limited for RAM. All the comments about towing a gooseneck with a short bed are not people that tow. I tow a gooseneck every weekend with a mega cab no problem. If you were towing a gooseneck horse trailer they would be correct but a regular gooseneck is fine with a short bed truck. From what I have seen you tow on your channel a dually is probably overkill. These new trucks are so capable.
I think the people that are complaining about a mega cab pulling fifths are the ones that watch Cletus McFarlans as well. He had a dually mega and his cab wouldn’t clear his massive trailer. But then again, how many flippin trailers do they make that won’t clear. That’s the first issue I’ve ever seen with a mega dually and a trailer.
I tow a 45ft Toyhauler with a goosebox and a 35ft dovetail gooseneck almost 3-4 times a week and I can tell you having a crew cab long bed is better in every way than a mega cab short bed. with a short bed it severly limits your turning ability and easily gets into the cab. There is a reason the internet is full of uh-oh pictures of MCSB's.
Daily driving a dually isn't the greatest. I'm a Ford guy but the new Rams are nice. Would still get a 450 platinum though ;) They also have over 1000 lb-ft of torque.
As I sit here nursing my torn bicep from a snowboarding fall 3 weeks ago this still makes me wish I was able to get out on the mountain.... Slight vaca envy...
Good choice about the Ram! Explaining HP and Torque is pretty easy. HP is about how fast you hit a wall. Torque is how far you move the wall with you! ;)
Must be so nice to have such a open area to ski. Most of the time I see classes taking up a slope closing it off to others trying to do their own thing. TRX for a year. Only reason I bought a GMC over a ram was the steering column doesn’t telescope in the ram and I need to lean back a bit because of neck issues.

I grew up in VT, you really need to take a trip there in the fall (fall foliage) and winter (skiing and snowmobiling). Yes, Stowe and Killington are great ski resorts, however I grew up in small town of Jay which is the home of Jay Peak Ski Resort. Not that I have not skied at the previously mentioned mountains, in fact as a former member of the Jay Peak Ski Team and North Country Union High School Team I have skied or raced at pretty much all the mountains in VT. and a few in NH.
Get the diesel lol, then as soon as the raptor comes out you can still have a heavy duty work truck while leaving earl at the bunker for your employees to use👍🏻........Mere just can’t disagree with the logic am I right😂
I remember skiing with my parents when I was your kid's age. I took my Emily skiing, who is now 25, I think she was 3 or 4 years old. Her dad was a ski rescue at our local mountain. I haven't skied in like 10 years. I do miss it!!!
