The last time I think the Jets were legitimately good was back in 1998 when they went to the conference championship game. I know everyone is going to talk about Rex Ryan and LaDainian Tomlinson in 2010 and I think 2009 but I’m talking about the era when they had a good running game and a really good quarterback. I think Vinny Testeverde worked really well with Bill Parcells and the days of Curtis Martin. Those were the last days of the Jets with a high flying offense
The Mets deserve a lot of praise. They had a great season and the future is bright However the football in this town is a disgrace. I dont think I'll watch another Jets game this year. Total garbage franchise that will never win anything as long as this current owner has the team and runs it the way he does. A deep playoff run doesn't automatically make a teams future bright. The Mets didn't do this with a bunch of 23 year old stud prospects with their careers in front of them. As currently constructed....everything had to fall nearly perfectly in place for this team to be successful this season. Their stars are aging, Alonso might not even be a Met after this off-season, starting rotation is a patchwork quilt of has beens and mediocre talent. I don't see anything that leads me to believe this team has a bright future.

Mike is still holding onto the allure of the old Rodgers. Last year, Mahomes had passes bouncing off WR hands for INTs, they led the league in drops and they still won the SB. This year, they're picking up WRs and RBs off the scrap heap and they are undefeated. Elite talent overcomes a lot. Rodgers is no longer elite, he is old.
Mahomes plays for a top HC and a super-professional organization. The Jets? They are a laughingstock. Don't blame Rodgers, except for choosing a bad landing spot.
The Giants have a way of making a mediocre team, like the Eagles, look like world beaters! Yes, Barkley had a great game but noone else did much on offense. I've been a fan sine the '50s and including the hard times in the late 60s throught all of the 70's I've never seen an offense struggle like this. At leats back then, even the years they won only 1 or 2 games...they at least scored points!

Unfortunately, the Jets performance was no surprise to me. I've watched media pundits and Jets fans ridiculously overrate the talent on this roster and the ability of the coaching staff going on four years now. To me, they threw a Hail Mary getting Roggers somehow thinking the Jets were a Roggers away from the Super Bowl. This was a team that had won 2, 4, and 7 games the previous three years. And they won 7 again last year. An offense that is incapable of running the ball and a defense that is incapable of stopping the run, which is what they have been all four years, is a loser. Period. These are the same problems Day 1 with Saleh, LaFleur and Ulbricht and it has never changed.

Regarding the jets game, that interception, caused by Wilson, was the most typical, pathetic, " Same Ole Jets" play in Jets history. That play was Jets Football 101. The other part is, even after 2 bad interceptions, they were only down 7. If they had a leader, anywhere on the team, they could have made a game of it, but they might as well have been down 30. You knew they were done.
Only the Jets could be up 15-6 with the ball inside of two minutes in the first half with the ball coming to them to start the 3rd quarter and somehow find a way to not only fail to capitalize but completely lose all of that momentum in literally seconds. It's absolutely mind-boggling. It's impossible to watch this team because it just doesn't matter. Everything can be working and then a second later nothing is. The kicking game was the best part of the team the last couple of seasons and now that the offense can actually move the ball once in a while you hold your breath with every kick. Four guys blocking a field goal. Sick of this effin team. The Met loss hurt but it was a great season. No way around that.
Giants can't complain about Barkley lighting them up. They should of kept Barkley and designed plays to showcase his talent. I'm a Giants fan, and we deserve what we get. And I hope Jets fans can now see what some of us knew all along, which is that Aaron Rogers is not the answer.

Getting rid of Saleh made a big difference.
It probably killed their chances of squeaking into the playoffs as a 5 - 7 seed in an AFC that has 3 proven teams and, after that, a wide-open field.

Only the Jets could be up 15-6 with the ball inside of two minutes in the first half with the ball coming to them to start the 3rd quarter and somehow find a way to not only fail to capitalize but completely lose all of that momentum in literally seconds. It's absolutely mind-boggling. It's impossible to watch this team because it just doesn't matter. Everything can be working and then a second later nothing is. The kicking game was the best part of the team the last couple of seasons and now that the offense can actually move the ball once in a while you hold your breath with every kick. Four guys blocking a field goal. Sick of this effin team.
