- Jao the lead developer and creator of Day of Dragons invited me in to the Exclusive testing area of his game where I was shown a few of the new mechanics and some of what they have been working on. Join me as I check out everything I can before he realizes it was a mistake :)

Ngl I gave up at 1.0 as blitz was meant to release, 3 MONTHS AGO but I’m having more hope
And they locked the test behind a Paywall, IMO this test should've been available to Everyone but No They just Have to please the Patreon and Kikstarters, forgetting the main reason everyone I know who plays this literally isn't giving them money through Patreon because of how slow their Updates are and how little we actually get, they aren't trusted enough for me or anyone else to actually give them money Until we know we can get a Product

Shimmer slider is huge ngl
? There's no difference from a year ago on the blitz. And the emote for the mating dance on the brood STILL closes its wings too fast at the end, making it look unnatural. Seems to me the only thing the worked on was the hitbox
I think the shimmer slider is going to make a lot of people happy; there were a ton of comments a year or so back about how a shimmer is supposed to be subtle (which the current version isn't) and how it was kind of obnoxious as it was. So being able to choose how intense it is will surely please the vast majority of players, and may even convince some players who said they don't like it to give it another try.
The blitz's emotes are awesome as always, but this is the first time I've heard a wide range of BW's. They're amazing. The FS is my favorite dragon at this time, but the blitz is great too, and the BW has been one I wanted to really focus on since I saw its concept art.
The hitboxes aren't a _huge_ thing for me, personally, since I don't PvP, but I can at least understand the frustration of the boxes being way off; I would argue that coping with messy hitboxes in PvE is much easier than in PvP. And, of course, good immersion in general requires good hitboxes, no matter how you play.
As I'm sure I've said before somewhere, I genuinely think Jao needs to do much better than his "no dates until things are done" stance. I understand his intentions, but being exceedingly vague and evasive-let alone outright silent-about updates is wild overcompensation for timing issues and will never inspire confidence in the existing playerbase or would-be players. Overestimating the necessary schedule and delivering early is a vastly superior method; heck, even just listing things as _"TENTATIVE_ Q4 2024" (or whatever quarter[s] of whatever year[s], with the emphasis being on the word "tentative") would be adequate warning that I'd defend. Haters gonna hate, yeah, but don't let the lovers lose hope.
To be fair, Path of Titans has teased updates and content and they never really give dates for release. They always surprise the players and its received pretty well as far as I know... it may still work here. However, the only real difference I see is that DoD is drastically quieter for ANY real big progress. :/
@@Bublio53 There are significant differences between _DoD_ and _PoT,_ though. Probably the biggest is that while _PoT_ has had its share of conflict and drama, it hasn't had to deal with the sheer scope of character assassination _DoD_ has faced from every angle since before its Kickstarter ended (and which Jao and his team contributed to by handling poorly). And while there is no "scam," I'd say some unwise/inexperienced decisions have been made with regards to Beawesome and _DoD_ (e.g., incorporation rather than LLC, a full orchestra OST). Further, at this point, _PoT's_ long history of smaller, more frequent updates-for a while, it seemed like every time I opened the launcher there was something new added-has allowed it to build a reputation that inspires trust; by extension, the amount of playable content it already has means the failure to give dates matters much less, since there are things to do in the meantime.
I agree that _DoD_ could get to that same place, considering Jao's plans for the playable roster, but it's nowhere near there right now.
Hitbox fixes will be a gamechanger for PvP players
For the past three months, there has been a lack of substantial progress or valuable updates in the development of Day of Dragons. Despite having a significant amount of time, the developers have yet to introduce a single dragon into the game, leaving the public without any tangible advancements. Previously, I held a positive regard for this game, but the continuous pattern of unfulfilled promises and disappointing outcomes has eroded my enthusiasm.
Always love your videos. Ive been excited for the blitz for so long. Can't wait for it all to finally be released!

was supposed to release with 1.0 like 3 months ago, pretty much gave up hope, when it was delayed again
well we will be getting it soon... just waiting for the other parts of the next update to finish and it will be in the game

The emotes on the Broodwatcher are copied from the Acid Spitter, the Blitz (including 1,2 and 3 Emote) have been ready since 1.0 release, i played the same state of the blitz 3 months ago. Te Hitbox Changes are great though

What happened that made everyone give up
Promised deadlines weren't met, other broken promises, more delays after the biggest delay ever ( the 1.0 update.)
And the 1.0 update was spread into little releases, and even those are delayed too. We're not seeing much progress for how much time and money they're getting.

Improved hitboxes W!!! Hearing about the water debuffing flame for 3 seconds is also super cool! I'm hoping that utilizing water in combat will be fun as ASD and for future water dragons, very nice ^^. The shimmer slider omg, that's SUPER; I love that we'll have more personalization to our dragons with that and upcoming skin crafting too, and I hope there will be even more to add to the customizing in the future!

literally just skipping through. i thot there's a glimpse of the map. its the real game changer. last time i checked i feel like im in roblox everything is so stiff and green and soooo smooth lol

For some people it could be easy and have a happy life to ignore the lead dev's action and behavior, but for a person like me it was hard to ignore it.
It was too much for me, and I don't want to support it.

Is so sad i cant play as bio myslef and i have to beg for it to others, also is so bad that we cant buy skins we like for example white skin… i hate not being able to get smth in game …
