My shaman still has permanent brain damage from before the nerf
Until you face a dodge cancel hero where you can't trade or get lighted out of chain zones.
He's very close to being a great hero.
He needs an option in chain that can punish dodging besides GB, attacks are getting more strict and variable in GB vunerability that grabbing isn't good anymore. Maybe changing "storming" tap to be undodgeable could solve the issue but people would complain they can't empty dodge Raider's heavies anymore because the tap and fly are the same dodge timings.
His chain zone needs a bit less ending lag and hyper armour late into the attack, he can't use it as well in team fights as a Hito, Goki, etc can.
He's a good hero right now, but he can't compete with the top tiers and if Ubisoft wants the power level to be at the top tier hero range Raider needs a couple of buffs.

Do you wanna know how to dodge the shaolin thing? As soon as he presses his thing, you gotta do the side dodge attack, not just dodge

Raider's problem is he's too hard to utilize well. Raider absolutely requires good teammates to confirm KURIPITA and heavies, and to save in teamfights since raider himself has no defensive options at all. Overall it's very mid character, closer to bad than to good, unless you have perfect team setup made specifically to have raider.
While I can still find the fun in new raider, its not nearly as enjoyable as old raider. The new animations are just nowhere near as crisp and his combos are easily interrupted.
