I bought a Bernette 77 and always found little knots when I stop free motion. Thanks for your explanation. I’ll still be using my very old Bernina 530-2 for all my free motion quilting, no knots. Great points. I had a Bernina but it died unfortunately. I rented two apartments which had a dampness issues. My Loved Bernina died in Deer Park, NY. It was about 17 years old. I had not used it every day, but, I did enjoy it. The motor had died. I had saved up to buy it and was so very sad. TV
