Thank you for sharing your plant based story / I used to be vegan too and found it made me too slim and that wasn’t great for me and my view on my body. I also found pregnancy and breastfeeding made me rethink what was good for my body and have turned back to clean animal foods and have felt so much better! Appreciate you’re honesty, as vegans can be pretty savage 😮💨🙏🏼💗

Don’t feel guilty about your cookbooks! Like you said people change, you made them when you were plant based and true to what foods you enjoyed eating at that time! They’re brilliant cookbooks and I use them often,…both when I was plant based and now when I’ve got a toddler I’m much less restrictive and eat fish and some dairy here and there.

First of all, Merry Christmas to you Ellie and all of the Wholesome fam! I've loved all the sunshine in your posts, vlogs, recipes and products this year, it has really cheered me up - and my first order from the Bon Sol collection arrived in Germany yesterday in time for Christmas! A little bit of sunshine in the dreary European winter! Regarding the idea of splitting your company - I am not sure, because I love the fact that it's a whole wholesome family lifestyle brand with clothes and items for the home - it's part of what makes your brand unique. This is just my first impression and I am not a business woman so not really able to advise. I would just worry that if the brand was clothes only, it would lose what differentiates it from the rest. But let's see! Whatever you decide it will be exciting! Regarding the diet topics, I am quite a lot older than you but I clearly remember going through a similar episode - feeling tortured with guilt for eating a slice of bread! I suddenly realised that this obsession with food was dangerous and all encompassing and I made a decision two years before my first child was born never to diet again - that's 17 years ago and I stuck to it. What I found was that if you eat what you like when you like, and at regular times, your body comes into an equilibrium and a steady weight - suddenly cravings disappeared and I was able to enjoy food again and my weight has not changed. So I can totally relate to what you went through. I have never been vegan but I LOVE your cookbooks because they have taught me how to make vegan and vegatarian meals so much more nutrious for me and my family and allowed us to reduce the meat in out diets without worry - again, finding a balance. Ever since I quit restricting my calories and counting them and stressing about any crumbs over my calorie goal, I found after a couple of years my body found its way to a weight that is where my body wants to be, same after each child! And I don’t have crazy cravings, I don’t binge eat. I enjoy food but in a healthy moderation of nutritious and not so nutritious foods. Wasted so many years stressing about the foods that I ate 🤯
in my (not rich) country so normal to live with 2-3 kids, dog, cat and room plants in 2-3 bedrom apartments. wich is sad a little bit... you are so lucky happy holidays 🎄✨💖
I was a vegan for 8 years and extreme to the point I think it really harmed my thyroid (looking back) I am now a more wholesome eater watching the refined sugar levels, eating good quality organic dairy but nothing OTT
