Hey Dennis, you may remember me from Dollywood back in the day…Johann the monitor engineer! Love this post.A lot of great memories! Cheers 🥂 my friend!
I believe I do remember you. Thanks for watching and leaving a note! All my best, Johann!
I grew up in the 70's, I hated this show. I'm 58 now and the guests that they had on are remarkable. Truly a gem . Roy Clark and Glen Campbell probably two of the top ten guitarists in any genre . RIP
The Good Ole Days
I'll be 45 June 5th and Hee Haw was and is my favorite show its where I got my musical education
I love this show
It is an Ovation Adamas. Mel Tillis had two of them, both blue. One gut string and one steel string. Very popular guitar amongst the classic country artists, particularly in the 1980s.

Hey grandpa whats for supper lol
What kind of guitar is Glen playing during Gentle on my mind? 10:40
Cathy Baker has been referred to as the "emcee" of HEE HAW. This is not correct. Roy Clark and Buck Owens were the show's hosts.
Correct me if I am wrong but ant this the final Hee Haw show that the late Junior Samples made a apperence on right before he passed away ?
Dennis do you have any video of Mel when he won Entertainer of the Year?
MrEbos - yes, I do. 1976. Keep an eye out - I will dig it out and post it soon! 26:46
