UniquelySoothing Oswald was made before Mickey, Charles Mintz stole Oswald so Walt made Mickey based off of a mouse friend he had through the hardest times of his life. Fun fact, Mickey's original name was Mortimer but was changed because Walt's love interest thought it sounded to depressing.

Not true Walt Disney's wife thought it was to fancy so he changed it to a simpler name "Mickey" that we all love to day.
Also in some cartoons like Mickey Mouse club house you can see what the Original character Mortimer mouse would looks like

I started tearing up when Oswald came in before Mickey it's a true honor and all the struggles Disney had gone through for Oswald to win him back was worth it I bet Walt is crying tears of joy in heaven today realizing what he has done has changed the world and how his beautiful work has grown and people still admire his work!

Not gonna lie, when I saw Oswald, Roger Rabbit, Jessica Rabbit, Meg, Hercules, Shang, Kuzco and The kittens from "Aristrocats"(I think that's how it's spelled) I started tearing up and cried. All of my childhood in one parade, truly something beautiful

Parade floats are great, but seeing basically EVERY SINGLE Disney character is waaaay better! Disney World needs to step up! Chill out with the money in floats and give us more characters! 😍

Agreed. I saw WDW’s 25th anniversary parade twice in person, and while the floats were nice, and parade very interactive, it was no where as nice as this one. Of course, in 1996, WDW didn’t quite have the funding thanks to Paris.

Just have to say that I really appreciate the dancers that are between the actual characters.
They probably don't get alot of credit or appreciation and that's kinda sad. They are really awesome and really keep up the happy athmosphere ^^

All the work that goes into these. Ideas, designs, costume-making, choreography, organisation... I have a great respect for all involved in putting parades together. I consider it an art form.

This makes me so happy. They included forgotten characters that are still loved and cherished by many: Darkwing Duck, Kida and Milo, Kuzco, Clopin, Oswald, etc. This makes me feel so happy, that I'm actually crying. The one thing that sucks is that I was visiting Paris on a school trip when this was uploaded, and I had no idea this was going on(not like I could've gone anyway). Its just upsetting that I was so close when such a wonderful thing was happening, and I had no clue. :(
Paris' collection must be the biggest compared to the others. I went ballistic naming and pointing out the ones we don't even get in America
I don't think any other park has ever done this, but this is just the ultimate to bring all of the classic characters and recent characters back!

Yep, although there are some characters from the more weaker Disney films and TV shows that appear in this parade (mainly those from Chicken Little 2005, and Jake and the Never Land Pirates).

I know Right. some of the Characters I never seen in the USA Parks. They also had every characters from Disney Afternoon shows out. Sorry, I dont know, if they had that program running worldwide or that was USA only in the late 80s/ early 90s. so I mean Disney late 80s/early 90s cartoons. like Dark wing duck, Tailspin, ect. o.o and even good old Oswalt the Rabbit lol that I haven't seen him in the USA Parks either. Well for me that is lol

Nothing in Particular Doc Mstuffins is a pretty common character in Walt Disney World. She's there every day at Hollywood Studios and occasionally at Animal Kingdom.

Omg I love this! How they put all of the characters nobody ever sees really, like Jim and Ben from T.P. (Which is my favorite and best Disney movie ever) Rodger and Jessica Rabbit, and how they show Oswald first! Plus there's more but you get the idea. This is just truly amazing.

+Eszra I think this Jessica Rabbit design has actually been around for a while, she rarely comes out because they have the more popular characters in costume going around the parks so few design changes for her have been made

KIDA, Milo, Kuzco, Bugs from Bugs Life, Roger Rabbit, Duckwing Duck, Joe McQuak, Prickle, 624, 622, 221, 627, 625, 258, Jim and Ben from Treasure planet, Bolt and mittens, the guys from meet the robinsons, Lewis and his son. I didnt even know those customes even existed! And more!!! :D

I've been in a couple of parades as a dancer and one of them was at Disney world orlando and I fell so bad for the people in the costume bc mine was not as thick and I was DIEING appreciate the hard work that goes into a performance at Disney parks

this is SOOOO much better than stars on parade in my opinion. even though thr groups of characters are pretty random in places, I wish this was thr parade instead of Stars.

well, the characters are in those groups because they have them in each category of each land there ( adventure land has tarzan and jane, etc..)

It makes me sad to think of the last time they would have been out and I wish every parade had some unusual characters because it’s so cool seeing them! Man... Lay Zee Disney parks always have a ton of customs and not just one. They are just rare for them to be out in the day.
Daniel Diaz damn i never see the point in spending all that money on costumes where most will hardly or never be used :( DLP needs a wider range of character interaction too staple for my liking. The asian parks seem to have some cool rare characters.

This was great, but how can they characters from Lion King and not have Simba? There really wasn’t any villains either.
When you see all these rare Disney character costumes and you're like..." Why don't they ever use them at Disney World? Like are they just in a dressing Room forever collecting dust till the next anniversary?"
