Sick ride! The only thing I would recommend is angling the camera more upward. Less tank view and more view of the beautiful city. Have you experimented with having the Zoom H2n under the seat?
As far as the mic placement, I think it was great. No wind noise plus being able to hear the gearbox do it's magic. While defeating wind noise it does cut some of the higher tones of the exhaust which seems like a fair tradeoff for having one mic.
