They should probably make sure they aren’t going to get hit with tariffs before they start resuming. No one is paying upwards of 1500 for a pioneer arms rifle.
IF the version of events from the VP from the American side of the company is true, I’d be pretty skeptical of Pioneer’s future projects. According to him, conflict came about from how expensive and time-consuming it was for the American side to fix the stuff coming from Poland (in his words, it seemed like they had no QC at all). Ultimately Michael (owner of Polish side) ended up essentially saying “then don’t bother with it anymore.” I’d be a wary of an importer that would be ok with that kind of directive.
I really hope they come back. I took the chance of purchasing one of their 7.62x39 sporters last year and after 2K rounds it has literally been flawless, with just the expected initial wearing but nothing that looks like it will be an issue as I approach 5K+ rounds. With that said, this is a win in my book since I bought it for $525.00. Pioneer was the last of the truly affordable AK's for the poors and a great entry level AK. I think most ( I say most) people who claim they are trash haven't given them a chance since they started forging their trunnions
Your welcome! The pioneer US team made sure every firearm that left the door was the best we could make it. That all stopped in September 2024. IT’s people that made that gun function correctly not Poland.
