I completed Dead Frequency and went back to Icarus to talk to the captain to get the A Moth to a Flame mission and they’re hostile towards me and the doors are locked, not sure why. What I do know is that I now won’t be able to get this achievement, Stalker’s Smarts. Doesn’t make any sense to me why they won’t let me in there anymore to get the side hustle side mission.
Just so people are aware (minor spoilers ahead)... This achievement gets locked out if you align yourself with the STALKERS and become enemies with the Ward. There's a few secret achievements like this, requiring two playthroughs to platinum.
@ you make the first minor decision at the start of the game depending who you give the scanners to. Then, you make a concrete choice once you enter the SIRCAA institute.
I missed this due to a bug. I've commented twice with ways to fix it but it keeps getting removed. I kept having the blue flag icon over the npc's head but he wouldn't give a quest, just talks. Just do console commands, doesn't disable achievements.
SAVE YOUR GAME PRIOR TO DOING THESE COMMANDS, no using the commands does not disable achievements but makes it easier to roll back so you don't run the risk of messing your game up due to having already completed this quest once before. XStartQuest E05_SQ03, this will start the required quest. If you have already failed or complete the quest, do this: XResetQuestBySID E05_SQ03, and it should reset it and let it spawn. Then walk under the box, look up, and shoot it until it falls out of the window. Collect it, get achievement. Then complete the quest with this command: XDKFinishQuest E05_SQ03, or roll back to a save prior to this *fix*. Enjoy!
Achievements aren’t really supposed to be simple that’s why they’re called achievements sounds like COD is more your speed of game it’s for people who eat paste
@nope2456 I don't play cod but nice try with a lazy insult. Missable achivements are annoying when you're going for 100% in 1 run. Not to mention this one wasn't hard or challenging at all. Got it on my 2nd playthrough and completed all achivements. I also have the OG trilogy completed 100% as well. Do you?

You can also get high ground and shoot the explosives inside.
Only works is the ward is your friend... so everyone siding not with them can not do the quest at all.

Damn I already missed this and I don’t have a save file anywhere near it 😢. Maybe I can find one to download since im on pc but I doubt it
I've been making a manual save at least every hour for mop-up reasons.

because old stalker games had tricks like this you could do, guess they just kept the tradition and added an achievement for it
What a dumb achievement, they could have added an optional task in the mission so we don't miss it.
