Thank you Daniela, Raquel, Eric, Bruce (@Bruce you really shouldn't have 😂) for alerting me to Lara's new album! I'm sure I missed someone this time, but I am on my phone right now, so I will correct this later. Hope you'll enjoy this one! ❤❤❤
Lara Fabian isn't just a singer, she's stepped out of her comfort zone throughout her career, moving into every musical style and always putting her own stamp on it. Unlike other vocalists who have not been so bold. I should add that Lara has more than participated in the creation of her songs, being an accomplished musician and composer.
Thanks to many of Lara's fans, I'm aware of that. Still, it doesn't hurt to share it in comments for someone who still doesn't know enough to appreciate Lara for all that she is as an artist. Thank you!
When you have a real breakdown in your life, you're forever weakened. But since her marriage she has found her soulmate and is now serene in her art and in her life.
Sometimes there is strength after you come out of a breakdown and I am glad Lara has found her strength. She seems to be a beautiful human, inside and out.

Spoiler alert! 😂 Let me hear the whole thing first, one song at a time. So far, the first two songs are gorgeous and of course very open emotionally, but I would expect nothing less from Lara.❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much, Jairo! Yes, I've only heard 2 out of 10 songs so far. Both different and both beautiful in their own way. I actually like that she's not focusing on her vocal prowess, but using it only where appropriate. More to come. If I can carve out the time, I'll try to cover the whole album faster than usual. Not promising anything yet, just letting you know I'll do the best I can to hear them all sooner if possible. Greetings to Texas! ❤️❤️❤️
YaY! Our Birthday Girl!!! (January, 9th). I have no words to express how in love I am with this new album. It is stunning and extremely personal and brave. A bit self-deprecating and, at the same time, feeling proud for what she has achieved until now. It feels like she’s “nostalgically looking forward to what will come next”… It’s really beautiful. Perhaps her diehard and longtime fans will get more from the lyrics, but I also think everyone can get moved by it. I can hardly wait to see her singing more songs live. And I’m ecstatic that I’m going to, finally, see The Queen performing live next June in London! 🙌🏻
I finally got to these comments! You are right when you say "Perhaps her diehard and longtime fans will get more from the lyrics, but I also think everyone can get moved by it." I feel like I am missing out simply by not following Lara throughout the years, but it really does not take away from the beauty and ever-present emotion in her songs. It is also a great pleasure for me to have her diehard fans along for the journey as you guys have taught me things about her, which helps alongside her own music to understand her and appreciate her more and more. Love to both Brazil and Switzerland! ❤️❤️❤️
I am sticking to what I said. I am not giving up on Lara until there is nothing new to hear. I sure hope it will be a great year for Lara - from everything I've learned about her so far, I can wish her nothing but happiness. ❤️❤️❤️ Btw, you did mean me going back to Lara? As I haven't left at all in between 2024 and 2025. 😂
I know, Eric and Daniela and Raquel told me she's coming to Belgrade already. I'm not sure yet if I will be going for a very private reason I do not wish to share (it's very much my own), but maybe by May my feelings might change...
Aleks, thank you for appreciating Lara's song from her new album. For me it is very sureal and other worldly and I will need to listen more times to understand more. Very best wishes for 2025. Phil in Scotland
First I have to say I hope you and your family are well and safe! Peter notified me about the wind being an actual serious storm. I understood from your comment it was just a bit windy, nothing serious. As for Lara, I guess I will find out. So far, 2 songs in, this is a beautiful mature album. Sensitive and revealing, but also strong. I'm trying to take the time to record more reactions than usual to cover this album the way it deserves. Hopefully, I'll make it. Best wishes to you and your and all of Scotland, most of all I wish you a "rainbow after the storm". ❤️❤️❤️
It's a great album, feels pretty hopeful and optimistic, musically it is simple but not boring, and personally I prefer this sound to the more electronic that she was exploring in the previous ones The album is pretty short so yeah it would be a good idea to do it all songs in order... it's only 10 songs of around 3 minutes
The cunning plan is already in place. So far, I've gone over 3 songs and I loved them too, so 7 weeks and 7 more songs to go. Yes, I know it's a long time, but I like to take my time. Hope you'll forgive that. Thank you, Damian!
Thanks Aleks, we finally got back to Lara😊 I love this song, it somehow has something mystical, she described this song herself in a way, that she was not sure how her career could continue and whether she was still able to write but nevertheless she is here, for all of us. The lyrics on this album are very important and personal, more than ever. I love this album very much, i think it's very mature and one of Lara's best. A word about her voice, i'm completely baffled by the way she uses her voice on this album. I feel like I'm rediscovering it, with a crystalline clarity and enriched with unsuspected nuances, so beautiful❤
I can't help but think about Adagio and her pleading to the powers of inspiration to never abandon her. They never have. The depth of her creativity astounds me as a songwriter myself. There are very few songwriters who can write for so long and still always stay fresh. I'm in awe.
@elizabethwhite1068 Yes it's amazing. I have read the translation of all the songs on this album and the lyrics are very deep and personal, really incredible.
Hi Aleks ❤️ Thank you for your reactions to Lara ❤️ I stil love you reaction and your honesty ❤️ Looking forward to more Lara reactions from you ❤️ Love Lara ❤️ Love from Denmark ❤️
Thank you, dear Martin! You only come along when Lara is about, but it is still always a pleasure to see you! ❤️ As they say, honesty is the best policy and it seems it really is. Do you speak French, too? I have always loved the sound of French, but I barely understand a word, sadly. Great reaction, I got a lot more from this song than I would have listening on my own. Just the sound of Lara makes my day better.
Before I explain about my tragically neglected French, it is such a pleasure to read that my reaction contributes to the song being heard differently in any tiny way. Thank you so much for that! ❤️ I used to speak French, a long time ago. Like you, I love the sound of it to this day. I learned French from age 10 until the age of 22 and spoke it pretty fluently at the time. However, 20+ years and not many opportunities to use it lead to it being rather rudimental nowadays. My process helps. If a song is not in English or Serbian, I read the lyrics in advance so I can at least partly understand what I'm listening to. Still, even with an advance glance at the lyrics it would still be impossible to follow if it was not for Lara. So, in conclusion my having some residual understanding of French in combination of a quick advance lyrics glance and Lara's perfect enunciation allow for a bit more rounded reaction than just enjoying the sound.
@@AleksReacts Thank you for that! ❤ Well, even if your French is imperfect, you still have an understanding, and I'm still envious 😆 I tried learning Spanish 5 years ago, since I would have had an actual use for it (friends in Spain), but I sort of got lazy after 10 months. Hi Aleks and happy new year, yes, the song that opens the album introduces the path that Lara has chosen to sing on the theme of healing (It doesn't seem like a concept album in the strict sense to me 🤔). There is a lot of personal in the lyrics, of her experiences and her relationships. For the first time a short album (30 minutes) with only a couple of songs over three minutes, no complicated arrangements with few instruments probably to privilege the intimacy and the importance of the lyrics, few photos in the booklet and above all, apart from the lyrics of the songs, nothing written by her (as usually happened in previous albums). From the point of view of the voice do not expect hyper-high notes and vocal contortions (except on one or two songs), they are not necessary given the theme and the lyrics (my opinion). For the musical part the CD recording seems excellent to me, guitars, piano, 3 strings and programmed rhythm. Lyrics by Lara or in collaboration with Slimane, Vitaaa, Vianney. Best wishes to Lara for the new album, the long tour 25/26 and also for her 55th birthday, which she turned 3 days ago (in the Italian cabala 55 is the number of music 😃).
@57Gauloises57 Finally managing to catch up a bit. Thank you so much for giving me a glimpse of what I'm in for from various perspectives. I very much appreciate your musical knowledge and it helps me understand things I can't without assistance. Though I love her voice and have a general understanding of the message, I fear I will be missing out on some of the nuances as I haven't followed her career long enough to know the important events in her life that she may refer to. The simplicity and elegance of it I love. Obviously, I already know the names of the songs and the artwork around it. My expectations from this album are pretty much to get a crash course on Lara prompted by her own songs that I'm sure I will get from her many fans, one song at a time. Her voice is beautiful and always emotional, whether she goes into high notes or complicated arrangements or not. Those are not always suited to the song and this album promises a different experience, so she rightly chose not to abuse her vocal prowess it seems. Last, but not least, I am going to try to over-record on my end, not to have everyone wait half a year for me to go through her album. Hopefully, I'll find some time to speed up my reaction publications.
@ That's great, Aleks. I would recommend you to read the lyrics beforehand. At least with these three songs, „UNE FLEUR À LA BOUCHE“ Lara discusses her own painful past and the difficulties she encountered. „C'EST PAS COMME ÇA“ deals with domestic violence. „JE SUIS DE TOI“ a song about her childhood❤️
@danielakeller7532 Whenever they are not in Serbian or English I read the lyrics beforehand. There is no way I'm listening to a song brainlessly not understanding the context. It would be disrespectful at best and downright rude at worst. Love to Switzerland! ❤️❤️❤️

From the new album, which I love entirely, I especially adored Je suis de toi and Une fleur à la bouche and I created lyrics video versions of these in English and French (French lyrics were posted by Lara, I added English to it) ruclips.net/video/MS670bmTGMY/видео.htmlsi=QOEpHQ9w69HztdMH ruclips.net/video/4Xdcg6emlpE/видео.htmlsi=tlFGJplrFMVO_9sE
Thank you so much, Eric! This is perfect! Now, Une fleur à la bouche is the next one I'm going for as I reacted to Je t'ai cherché before the full album came out, but if you do this with all the songs I think you will make it much easier for so many reactors to do this great lady justice when reacting to her songs! Not everyone will read the lyrics in advance and a proper translation is very important for understanding her music. You are wonderful indeed! ❤️❤️❤️ P.S. This time I did listen to a short interview of Lara's about the album, her collaboration with Slimane and how this whole thing came about. Yup, Aleks has heard an interview. 😝
I listened to a short one on Canadian TV I believe, about 5-10 minutes. When I was looking for the song it popped up and before I heard the song I heard her talking about how the album came to be. It is not going to become a habit, but I do like her personality and so far, I've heard her talk a couple of times in those "funny sides of Lara videos", so I went for it. She definitely has an effect on people. 😂
🇨🇦 No matter how enticing it might seem for you to follow this new direction, I am here to remind you not to skip over some of her best work ! I recommend that you next react to "Danse" or "Madmoiselle Hyde" or even "You are not from here" , but don't let me influence you ! 🇨🇦
I would like it if she would first deal with the new album, that‘s now the current thing. She can watch these old performances always later, after years of seeing mainly reactions to over twenty-year-old performances, i think it's nice to finally have something new. I’m not a fan of the Madmoiselle Hyde performances at all, because most of them are not sung live.
@@danielakeller7532 I just hope that when Aleks gets to the “Mademoiselle Hyde” reaction (a song that I personally love), she chooses to react to the only official live performance that I really like and am quite sure to be absolutely live, as it’s not from a Krutoy’s show (I’ve sent her the link) or simply goes for the official video. It’s a bold choice, since the Krutoy’s concerts ones are the most popular, but, thing is, I really don’t like them bc it’s well-known that most of Krutoy’s and Russian TV shows are prerecorded.
@@raquelra5878 Oh yes you know i have the same opinion as you. Please nothing with Igor Krutoy, but i wouldn't mind the official video, i think that's very good.
Oh, I reacted to a different one some time ago. Nevertheless, Lara's live delivery is almost always perfect. Thanks for sharing this one with me as well. ❤️
Why would Aleks comment in French, then most of us don't understand anything. As for the depressions, that was 25 years ago and it was mainly a severe eating disorder, Lara left it all behind and she’s living her best life now.
@@danielakeller7532 You are confusing a depressive episode with a depressive tendency. Each of us has a tendency, either depressive or paranoid, just like being introverted or extroverted. Depending on the individual, this tendency can be more or less pronounced. When someone with a depressive tendency experiences a major depressive episode, whether the cause is exogenous or endogenous, it means that the tendency is quite pronounced. Otherwise, one can live a lifetime without a pathological episode, but with a psyche that expresses its duality in an ordinary alternation between hope and despair. As for commenting in French, it was an invitation to myself for this little whim, no one else. And if "most of us" don’t understand it, the "most" can do as they would with comments in Russian, Spanish or Italian : use Google Translate.
@continentzero7572 I‘am not confusing anything, i know all of that and on the other topic, i’m pretty sure Aleks will continue to comment on her videos in english.

She’s 55 (9th of January)
If you ask me, she's ageless. As a typical woman, I'm happy to report I'm somewhat jealous. 😂❤️
Thanks Alecks
Always! ❤️
Thank you, dear Dominik! ❤️
🔥🔥🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥

@AleksReacts köszönöm neked!😘😘
❤❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
From the new album, which I love entirely, I especially adored Je suis de toi and Une fleur à la bouche and I created lyrics video versions of these in English and French (French lyrics were posted by Lara, I added English to it)

You’re such an angel, Eric! ❤
P.S. This time I did listen to a short interview of Lara's about the album, her collaboration with Slimane and how this whole thing came about. Yup, Aleks has heard an interview. 😝
@@AleksReacts Oh yes, Une fleur à la bouche is just wonderful, with great lyrics. What you listen to an interview? Unbelievable😂, may i ask which one?
🇨🇦 Just saying . . . 🇨🇦
@@Royal_BLT ???
Beautiful live rendition of one of his songs "je t'ais cherché" from his latest album.

@@danielakeller7532 🇨🇦 LOL And as soon as you say that, watch her comment in another language ! 🇨🇦
Lara is not depressive... she's obviously very happy
Saying that doesn't do any favors to real depressive people
