Tech Tip#10: Bilge Pump in a Bucket, updated! New US Sailing regulation

We've been talking about bilge pump in a bucket for years! At the Marine Technology Center we have put many of these together, and have stories where they have saved vessels from sinking!
This system is portable, easy to deploy, and can be giving to another mariner in distress. What do you have in your boat for emergency de-watering?
These are not that expensive or difficult to put together, consider adding one onboard your cruising vessel.
