It's crazy how much detail you can get with an airbrush. I used to mess around with that and after you get the feeling down for the pressure and the distance, making cool looking stuff is really easy. I need to get back into that. Really fun

There is NO WAY I'm paying an extra 300$ for a custom paint job... the regular switch is fine!!!
You have to remember that the paint jobs are usually very high quality, and that's actually a pretty normal price for both the Switch AND Joy Cons...
ColorWare, for example, does custom Joy-Cons at 160$ CAD. And that's just for flat colors or metals. This company does whole patterns, like the hand air-brushed galaxy Lamarr got. They ALSO include the grip and dock custom painted, that's pretty incredible for the price. They're also very expensive because paint jobs like that usually last for years and years without showing wear-and-tear.
It's honestly not bad if you're willing to invest. :)

It may seem like a lot of money but i can tell by looking that this is painstakingly done to perfection. Precision masking for the clean logos and bosses. Correct paint so all the details and logos can still be seen etc. Just something you don't get with the cheaper paint job companies

Hang on guys. I know it’s a lot of money for these custom switches, but you have to understand the work and effort that goes into the airbrushing, especially something that looks that refined and beautiful. I’m honestly surprised it’s that cheap. Any other artist would charge over $500 at least so I think we should be grateful that these ones are only $300. (I can’t afford it either so I’m not saying “only $300” to be snobby or anything, but you have to admit that it’s beautiful and worth it.)

a few small details on the super switch pro controller could have made it slightly better imo like the buttons themselves could have been colored to give it that finer detail of nastalgia that a fellow one of a kind gamer would look for.

Pro tip:
Buy vinyl decals from etsy (5 bucks) , buy paint and primer from home depot (6 bucks). Disassemble your switch (25 minutes), use the vinyl decals as a masking stencil, or you can always top the decals with automotive clear coat (12 bucks) . And it's done, you can get any design on your joycons and switch for less than 20 bucks and about 2 hours of work...
