Tim, I've just come through a week's withdrawal. I've been there before many times but this one was different. It was so much more harrowing than any of my others. The hallucinations, the voices, the physical feeling of being pushed or pulled by an entity who said in a menacing voice "where do you think your going? GET BACK". There were things flying out of my bedroom wall. I was afraid to be alone at night and clung onto consciousness until I finally was plunged into hell which I had to fight my way out of to wake up. It's been the worst one of my life. I didn't know about kindling until I watched Bat Country's channel. It all makes sense now why my withdrawals have been getting worse. I came through the other side and will do everything I can to stay sober I cannot go through that he'll ever again. I should've called an ambulance but I thought I could manage it. I'm going to make an appointment to see my doctor and discuss this kindling effect with him and how I can move forward. Tim thanks for your video and I hope we can both make a recovery and stay sober. Thank you C J

"Fighting" ANY addiction is a recipe for failure. Why? Because all of our focus is on the substance. The substance causes a lot of problems, but is NOT the ROOT PROBLEM! The root problem is...SELF!
The moment we transition to "living differently", is the moment we begin to recover. It's as simple as that. We don't have "demons". That's just a word that has become popular in society, essentially to distract from the real issues...which are a lack of rigorous honesty with ourselves, and a lack of willingness to take action. There is no magic bullet, no magical words, and nobody is going to show up on your doorstep, to hand you sobriety.
Find a recovery group that believes in moving their feet, instead of their mouths. If I need a gallon of milk, I can sit at home and talk about it all day long, but if I don't get off my ass and go get it, NOTHING WILL CHANGE! Recovery is no different! All the best to you...Mark
