I really liked how you talked about planning and not taking on too much work for the day. That was a great point, it made me realize that by planning less makes it seem easier to get things done. It may seem so easy that you even have more time to work on things not even planned since you didn't over schedule yourself for the day.
Definitely! It's easy to imagine that everything will go according to plan but things that seem simple end up taking twice as long. By planning for these situations, you can really set yourself up for success. And if everything does go according to plan, then you can get a head start on the next day

PMs and engineers work pretty closely together on my team and I've worked with PMs from other teams as well. I would say the best PMs understand both the product and the team. its incredible that u still reply to the comments to ur old videos! Any advice on how to land in intersnhip at google? im a 2nd year CS in CA and I've been trying to to find a internship for a while tbh. Love the videos!
Google has two software engineering internships: STEP internship and the Software Engineer Internship. STEP is specifically for 1st and 2nd year students and it's a great program because you work with a team of other interns on one project. The software engineer internship is also a great program where you have more ownership of the project that you're working on (I did both!). Unfortunately it looks like the applications have already closed for the summer internships, but be sure to write on your calendar for next year so you don't miss any future deadlines! Google has a Students career page for more information careers.google.com/students/ Hope that helps!

Hi! I'm from India. Would you please share about your stress levels in Google more precisely? I am thinking about working hard to get a foot in the door at google. As a software engineer, how much pressure u get? Isn't working 8 hours exhausting? How easy is the coding job there?
Hey there - there are definitely times when it does get stressful, but most of the time it's manageable. 8 hour work day is pretty typical in the US - that includes lunch, taking breaks, meetings, etc so it's not giving 100% energy for all 8 hours. YMMV
This is great video, This reminds me my desk in San Francisco Wells Fargo office with bay bridge view from 23rd floor. Now I am working from Concord and Fremont office. I absolutely love city even though it took me 1 hours 40 minutes each way commute from Mountain House 🏡. I used to go to Sales Force park for afternoon walk and sometimes bayside walking..

Thank you! The view is one of the best parts of the office 😄🇨🇴
....noticed that you are perspiring when you arrived the office earlier, seems to be a healthy way of starting the day - adrenaline is on its prime. Thanks for bringing a smile when you mentioned your subs - hearing Abu Dhabi, thanks bro... yes, you’re right - fruits as a mid-day break is both healthy and refreshing ... hope to see more of Google SF, for a change ... #StaySafe
Thanks Emil! I had to walk a few blocks from the bus stop to the office and you're right, movement is a great way to start the day! Glad to see you caught the Abu Dhabi mention, that was for you! And I'll definitely have more Google SF vlogs in the future 😄

@@yourfriendintech if you on Instagram or Facebook pls share me your I'd I want to connect with you and one more thing I am from India🤗
its incredible that u still reply to the comments to ur old videos!
Google has a Students career page for more information careers.google.com/students/
Hope that helps!
Hey from Chelmsford U.K. dude. Great tour, looks amazing!

Wow sounds nice! (except the commute 🙃)
The uncomfortableness when you are in the treadmill while coding, that’s a super power if you get to really do it 😂😂😂😂😂 i feel uncomfortable by just seeing you. I really liked your video 😍😍 here from Boston
Hahaha it definitely takes some getting used to but it's not too bad 🚶
😎😎

Will Google force you to go in person soon? seems like all this could be done from home
Agreed, I actually like working from home more but I do like the option of going into the office. I can apply to be fully remote if I really wanted to

Thank you for watching! 🇳🇬 New day in the life video soon
Hi Jon,
Could you share how many hours do engineering managers work and also what they do?
Hi Ankit, It's hard to generalize but I would say its safe to assume at least 40 hours a week but it really depends on the manager and their team. To see what engineers managers do: look up "Engineering manager" on careers.google.com and check out the "Responsibilities" section
@@yourfriendintech thank you for replying. What I just wanted to know is, do engineering managers have good work life balance??
@@AnkitPatel-jg1fw It's definitely possible to have work life balance in the role. I'm not an engineering manager so I can't speak to personal experience
Hi from Japan! I wanna learn about computers so your video is so motivating for me 👩🏻💻Thank you!
