Discovered that high discharge 18650 rated at 10C are available, it has been estimated that the tb47/48 are rated at 10C - might be worth giving this a go
I actually have some sitting on me bench for another project and used them in my longboard battery I had built. Didn’t have on hand at the time of this video but plan to revisit with another battery that is dying fast. Thank you for the heads up appreciate you coming back to the channel.
I built the battery as you do in the video, but I have the problem that I connect it to the drone and the camera works and raises and lowers the landing gear, but in the app it shows a battery error and does not allow it. The drone flies and you never show the battery flying with the drone, can you guide me as to what could have happened please?
Good afternoon. Please tell me I have such a problem, the battery has been redone to show 6000 mah and does not show, shows old readings. How can I fix this problem, please tell me?
I must have been lucky if so. I have done it to two batteries without that issue and can power up the third without any cells connected. I don’t know if is had to do with my cells slowly dropping past readable voltage unlike if just unplugging them or if it was something else.
Hello, have you ever heard or are familiar with the HSABAT Batteries for DJI Inspire 1 TB48/TB47 sold on eBay? If you are please share your thoughts. Thanks
I have heard of them and don’t see why they wouldn’t work ok but they are just a tab pricy might be cheaper to find someone with the bms bypass and rebuild with lihv rc batteries
I will research it and compare. thank you for the tip. I have an Inspire 1 Pro, I have two batteries that went bad, according to the DJI GO App one of the cells on each battery has slightly lower voltage than the rest. I have four good batteries to fly with but would like to repair the two bad ones without them blowing up in my face. I've tried to follow your video but the camera sometimes missed some points, so I didnt want to take the risk, us Marines are not the sharpest knives in the drawer when it comes to this stuff. I figured I'd buy one of these HASABAT batteries and give it a go, just wanted your expertise and thoughts on the matter. Thanx again@@spireEngineering6523
Hello. I am about to try to build and follow your video and diagram step by step. Could you give me more information if this worked? If someone has tried it they don't want to try it to no avail or damage both the plane and the batteries. Thank you very much and I hope someone can answer me.
I am happy to help. Sad to tell you it’s a 50/50. We did many batteries and half or less worked. They don’t damage the drone tho if built right. The only thing the ones that don’t work do are turn it on and it all functions but it just won’t take off.
Thank you very much for answering my question. and I ask you again those that did work, did they manage to work in the same way? Or did they have some limitations or differences? And well, all that remains is to try and make it work. Thank you very much again for answering. greetings from Argentina@@spireEngineering6523
@pabloalmada7858 the cells I used in this video had some limitations the range was around 70% of the original however there are better cells on the market like molicel p20a, Sony vtc4, or another great option that is sometimes easier for some people is to get fpv 4s lihv batteries with matching or higher mAh. This is the best performing option but may run a bit more money but still by far less than a new dji battery
Hello, I am another subscriber, very interesting, great video, a question about how you reset the BMS so that the battery works correctly, and recognizes it in the DJI GO application, I await your response please, thank you very much for your attention, greetings from Peru .
Thank you very much for your support. I wish I could tell you. I got lucky to where it just worked. I guess some just didn’t lock themselves out after changing. I have another that is locked I am looking into getting to work. It is full recognized but won’t take flight. I have been playing around with the board and hoping I am getting close to a solution.
Sadly no I got lucky with 3 batteries not having it after repair. I’m still looking into fixing that error. There is a very technical way but it’s to much work and costs money for a software so looking to find a cheaper option.
I do not have a service. I simply fixed this for a friend. It does however throw a battery error sometimes but other times will take off without an issue so I’m still figuring it out.
Weather hasn’t been permitting in my area. When the weather clear I will be making a performance video although I believe these batteries won’t be able to any speed punches. If I can find some better suited cells I will be linking them in the discrimination but at this time cells are hard to come by with good power density.
@@spireEngineering6523 yes, I was wondering what the C rating of those cells would be. Here’s to hoping they do the job, it would be good to have a cheaper option for the original batteries. Those prices are getting ridiculous.
Yea, You left out a lot of details on this project. because you’re dealing with batteries and a very expensive drone I would have to pass on this project. ebay already sells batteries pacs similar to these specific for the Inspire 1 and 2 and come with a warranty.
All to their own. I feel I covered the warnings at the beginning of the video. I did this projects for a friend who isn’t having issues to this day. As building a battery Carries it’s risk it is always done at the builders chance of damage. I build many batteries for more expensive projects that draw way higher amount of power. For some people like my friend who got the drone for $200 and cannot afford new ones this was his best option. We also repaired on one using hobby lipos.
Whats the flight time like?

I’m not sure the numbers but some models had worked and some did not I can try to find the ones that didn’t and compare the numbers

Any errors? I have read that the BMS enters lockdown mode when the balance leads are removed for the original cells.

Any idea how to fix battery cell error for inspire 1 battery?

great job
Have you flight tested these yet? If so, how’d they perform?

These probably weren’t enough I can definitely get better ones but I had these on hand so I went for it anyway
do you have wire diagram please
I don’t but I can mock one up today and add it to the description
I have added a temporary drawing of a diagram while I design a 3d model.
