Greywater recycling

- Waste water from showers, baths and wash-hand basins is called grey-water. With relative ease grey-water can be treated up to 2nd class quality, suitable for flushing toilets with or for irrigation. This can replace a considerable amount of the more expensive 1st class tap water.
Cheaper solution (and easier) - I have a santized bucket that is in the shower that collects the water. I usually position it for optimal fill. I flush the toilet with this by pouring the water directly into the toilet (not opening the tank). Works great with the more recent toilets that are designed to flush (low flush toilets).
But you need to always lift the bucket to move the water which women in the house won't prefer doing it .
Great information. Cheers from TX!
love the video and evrything
You don’t need to treat the graywater from hand bassins and showers (or even washing machines and dishwashers) since it will be used to flush the toilets and not for drinking or gardening purpose. Just collect it as is and flush away.
if we use pump to store the water in flush tank then its not economical but if we exceed the height of bathroom so that the waste water can easily fill the flush tank without investing any energy source then it will be very use full. :)
Wouldn’t it be possible to use a « vacuum » reaction through emptying the toilets tank instead of using a pump? Since the hand bassins and shower drains are unobstructed it should automatically replace the water volume used to refill the toilets. Though you would need a way to expel the air when the greywater tank is being refilled after showers and such. And also an overflow...
simple and easy explanation, tank you
Ho estly i dont even think you have to filtrate and treat the gray water. And they should have added the water from laundry as well
The video does not show grey water treatment. how to store, how to pump, or anything practical.
Maybe we can help: www.biomicrobics.com, www.recoverwater.com

It's not that bad tho s i liked the video it is a goood video kinda for people that are doing projects in school
why does it need to be treated at all if it is going to be used for flushing?
The water from baths and sinks is dirty & since it will be stored inside a tank, you want to prevent odours and soap scum which may clog the toilet system
@@kabelobadimo7475 incorrect. you may have a problem with hair, but soap scum would do no such thing as is shown in baths and showers everyday.
A person spits in washbasin , hairs during bath...its not healthy to use these to flush.
and what kind of equipment is needed to treat the water?
Maybe we can help: www.biomicrobics.com, www.recoverwater.com
heloo

Well that was a waste of time... you show that it needs treatment but not what kind, how much... you really provide absolutely no information here
Maybe we can help: www.biomicrobics.com, www.recoverwater.com
Yes, the idea is not new but this video is for 4th grade explanation. If you want to gain visits in you tube you can also talk about the UFO sights in macchu pichu.
