I worked on aircraft for 20 years. Some of these issues are suppose to be taken care of by the airline themselves. When an airline purchases an aircraft, they suppose to do an acceptance inspection. As an educator, I can support the concepts of Diversity & Inclusion as long as these concepts are NOT abused (e.g., hiring a person solely on the basis of their race.) I DO NOT support Equity, As it is applied, a person is hired to give him / her a position they may not be trained to do solely because no other employee has held a similar position (i.e., black woman university president) ! Equity hiring implies OJT (On the Job Training) which is impossible for positions requiring specific skills!
