I've never owned a Kindle product until I bought the Scribe, my iPhone was too small and the iPad Pro just hurts my eyes. Heretofore, the Scribe. It's a wonderful device it meets my needs, portability is a minor issue but no IP rating means it stays at home, No regrets but I am looking at Kindle Paperwhite for portability. I like the review.
I bought my Scribe during Prime Days and absolutely love it 😍 I have an iPad and a reMarkable but wasn’t satisfied with the writing experience on either one. I like to hand write my first drafts, so I’ll do them on the Scribe now instead of paper. Great review 👍🏾

Hi Rhonda. I've been on the fence about which one to get between the Scribe and Remarkable 2. I have many Kindles and don't use them much for reading, but I'm comfortable with Kindle. I love the look of the Remarkable. I'm not sure which I want! Most everyone says the Remarkable is better for writing. I guess it personal preference.

Plus I needed a larger screen for a better reading experience for myself!

Yes! I honestly use all my kindles. The scribe is beautiful. It is so fast and the screen is amazing. I highly recommend it. The paper white is also a great device l-but the scribe is luxurious.

The Kindle Scribe with the pencil ✏️ is expensive but worth it. I have it and use it daily. I love the big screen and use the note taking side with pencil ✏️. I don’t use the note taking often but when I need it I like to have on hand. I would not take for travel. I don’t have it but if I used a Kindle for travel it would be the paper white signature. For now the Kindle Scribe 📝 meets my current reading needs.

I use my paper white when I’m out and about and the Oasis sometimes at night when the Scribe is too big to hold. I’ve recently purchased a sleeve for the scribe so I hope that makes it a bit more mobile.

can you open the notes on half screen and write your notes regardless the position or do you always need to tick the position of this sticky note? also can you scroll that sticky note to write more so it can be as long as you want? like write many notes while reading. sometimes I read like 10 pages and write 3 sentences / quotes for study. Those sticky notes looks like very very short and does not help to write like 40 lines.
Thanks for watching. From what I’ve seen, when writing a note in a book for annotating, you get a small box that pops up. It doesn’t scroll down for more space. However, you can write or use text to write your note. I imagine using text versus handwriting would allow more space. There are also notebooks where you can write longer notes, but I haven’t tried to use the notebook in a split screen way. I hope this helps.
Having said that I am very tempted to get a Scribe. I LOVE reading on the Oasis - it is so much more comfortable than the Paperwhite, but the note taking and sketching does look good. If Amazon introduce layers into the notes for drawing it will be a no-brainer...@@ravenclawreads3177
Yes! To update I did have a defective battery. It glitched in other ways too so I called and I got a replacement and I don’t have that problem anymore.

I have seen the highlights and typed notes are included in that CSV and pdf they email. What about the handwritten notes? Do they get included in that as well? I bought it. I hate it. It seems nobody is mentioning an important thing: everytime you turn the page, the screen takes a long time (thinking?) then it flashes and goes completely black, and only then does it show the next page. It is very very sloooooooooooow... You can't search inside the book or flip through it. It's a disaster. Maybe it is good for the trash bin. I can not recommend it. Do not buy one.

I did have an Oasis that glitched like this and Amazon replaced it, maybe it is a dud and needs to be replaced by Amazon? They will replace it for free you just have to get on with customer service.

If your Oasis needs charging every day there is something very wrong with it. I charge mine about once every three weeks.

You must really read a long time in a day to have to charge your Oasis every day. Maybe you have a defective battery.

I think your oasis is defective. Had mines for years and don't have to charge it everyday. It last for months.
Hey Whitney thanks for watching. My battery life has gotten better, it’s still not as good as the Scribe battery but not charging it every day now.
To be honest with you, you are the first person who is not happy about the battery life.
On the scribe? I love the battery life-the oasis battery life was not the best. The scribe battery is superior.
