I remember when I was in primary school and teachers used to give us 'golden time' which was our privelaged free time. We were allowed to use the school laptops and Dino Run was all I ever played...
I did, except it randomly occurred to me while on the toilet. Yes, this comment is being typed from the toilet... At 11:34pm. I also have work in the morning. What am I doing with my life?
@@R1ptide_Drag0n I made two accounts. One would stay idle while my main account was causing problems. Id hope off my main account before the moderators would catch me and I'd go back to my idle account watching them get pissed off because they could never catch me in time.
No guitars on this track I think, those are all chip sounds or synths overdriven/bitcrushed to sound kinda like guitars. As for genre, at its core this is a chiptune emulating the 8-bit style and sound of the NES and GameBoy era. But the composition is definitely inspired by electro/industrial music, electronic rock, maybe dance-punk. The track "Volcano" has real guitars in it, though, and could be classified as so-called "nintendocore" (fusion of chiptune and punk/metal) with industrial beats.
@@flariz4824 No idea... but I'm sure it will happen again sometime lol. If I were to dig through my old comments I bet I would find some cringy stuff as well.
Online play was fun, most of my memories were online. I doubt there's a lot of people playing this game on Steam? I do remember briefly checking out single player though, might try it again eventually
Even though it's an 8-Bit platform game, you get that fear tingling on your skin as you run away from the inevitable.
I assure you this game makes use of more than 8 registers.
Love how the main tune sounds fun and unserious but the backround portrays an apocalyptic feel.
Really accurate to what the game's like
oh, so much nostalgia....
ye, played this in school when the teacher wasn't looking.
Same.
This is actually the very first game I've ever played, *nostalgic overload*
Dino Run be like "Welcome to gaming kid"

To be fair, the game puts them in a rather unfortunate situation.

That level 5 music is just preparing you for what's coming later
it's Addicting .
Mark Denardo was the composer for this if I'm not mistaken, it's not listed in the bandcamp page
What kinda genre would be with those SICK overdriven guitars in the background? I want more of that.
