The fact that this was all improvised dialogue... wow, these people are talented. This genuinely felt like a real family argument.
I like how Jesse was all into the therapy idea and loved it when the doctor was agreeing with him, but the second she starts questioning his gaming addiction and agreeing with Psycho Dad his whole demeanor changes and he spazzes out and goes into "NOBODY UNDERSTANDS ME BECAUSE I'M A GAMER!!!" mode. 😂

I think he was more angry at the fact that his father wants to deny how the kid is actually feeling inside and the fact that the father isn't listening and seeing what's really going on ! I don't really think it has anything to do with the gaming addiction that made him upset I think it's the whole situation of the fact that everybody's turning it into the gaming when it has nothing to do with the gaming in his eyes and instead of seeing the bigger picture his father is denying everything and trying to turn the tables on to something that it has nothing to do with and instead of taking responsibility his father is yelling and making up excuses ! And trust me I know how the whole dad pulls the fake cop Sanrio because of something stupid because my dad once done it to me and a friend had done it to me once and it's not funny or life changing and it's not think the tv show scared straight. It's more like terrifying and plays on one's mind and turns you into to someone with trust issues ! He feels like he's being ignored and no one gives a dame !
I feel so bad about Jesses mom. She trying to side with him but everyone was yelling at her. She stuck in the middle of this garbage. Like is you think she deserves a better family even if this is acting it is hard to believe someone deserves this type of relationship with her family

I didn't even notice that
Took a while for me to really notice it but many people had already noted it, that psycho dad actually wasn’t the only sort of ‘antagonist’ of the series. Psycho kid (Jesse’s character) was generally considered the victim of the series, but years later and now that I’m older, I’ve realized it might arguably be at least 40% Jesse’s fault for the bad things that happened. He displayed this sort of lack of humanity or common sense, like a kid that was born and immediately locked away in a dungeon, only being released into the open world once he graduated college. Almost as if he was never ‘raised’ fully, but arguably, he was. And if he had just took his father’s relatively rational advice, his life would’ve been so much easier. His character in the series, had the mental maturity of a spoiled 11 year old, like a weak and flimsy Christmas tree covered with 50lb decorations made of lead, and shiny lights.

The whole time I re-watched the series all I could think about was how much easier things would've been for Jesse if he would've just taken a deep breath and relaxed a bit instead of having a spaz attack anytime someone didn't agree with him or teased him

Coming back to these videos years later is crazy. Used to believe it was all real back then. The whole family are top tier actors.
As you can see, the wild Jesse takes off his shirt in anger to assert his dominance and show off in front of the lady people. This tactic is used mainly to ward off the natural enemies of the Jesse, the Jeffery. This tactic was successful and warded off all enemies and possible threats and defused the situation. Such a beautiful documentation.

I think jesses angers slowly built up and Jesse hasn't found a way to release it so when he does go off he looks like a phyco but he's just angry. For example if he did something like boxing it would help release the anger. he would get not just a fresh mental mind but he would make him physically stronger.

I don't know what to believe anymore.
I feel like most people don't want to feel sympathy and try to disconnect themselves from what they are watching and deem this all fake without a shred of evidence. If these were fake they would be much better worse written. I mean look at his scripted content and shorts that he did. He had other videos long before the videos of his dad destroying his stuff. He did not suddenly become an amazing writer and his family did not become actors overnight. The amount of planing and preparation that would have to be done is almost impossible. Claiming that the vlogs that he has been putting out the last couple months are fake is like claiming that another daily blogger scripted all of their videos. There is no way for him to film all he does and script it by himself or with a group of people. If you think this is fake good for you. You truly believe that Jesse has more talent as an actor, writer, and producer than most of the people who actually make movies and TV shows.

Also, there have been countless other studies proving that video games have NO effect on a mentally stable person. The aggression of his father probably just got given to his son.

Neko Fever See, its that were people like him get it wrong. Ok, lets use a singular model, or a group perhaps. I can use my own group of friends who play video games as equal as me. I have not seen many violent tendicies in any of them. So chances of of killing in us is low due to the enviroment we were raised in. If we look in a diffrent enviroment that a group of people were raised in we would see that they would most likely would do such a thing. Now let us look at the guy in the video, him and his brother and where they have come from. Thier father shows very violent tendicies, and also shows often bursts of rage, wouldnt his children inhabit the same. Even if this is fake, it is a simple model for one can use for the lie about video game causes violence. (Everything has holes)

ComputersAreRealCool You have a good point. Some traits are given to you by your parents. For example, Jessie's constant aggressive reactions and behavior could be from his father. But the problem is, the video games are a problem. The problem with Jessie is that he plays so much video games that what he does in real life is okay in the video games, but maybe not necessarily okay for real life. Yes, video games have no effect on your mental state, it is the lack of reality which affects you.

I am currently studying sociology. and i learn to observe a situation objectively and then state my opinion and conclusion. I can honestly tell you that this case is most interesting and i predict ill use this in the future.

I have never seen a therapist leave when they are needed most. She just left when everyone needed help to calm down and sort things out. She didn't even help the situation. Didn't give any advice, didn't support Jesse and just didn't say anything helpful. I just don't think she's a real therapist.

The games don't cause his aggression. He has an explosive temper, and I'm sure he knows that. And a lot of times, when there is a problem, like addiction, people get overly defensive and go out of their way to say "I don't have a problem." There's nothing wrong with doing games for RUclips for a living. I know some great people that do it for a living. But there IS a problem when you let it rule your life and ruin your relationships, when you let games become more important to you than anything else. He got overly defensive here. I'm no professional, so I can't say or pinpoint exactly why, but there definitely are some underlying issues here that need to be addressed.

There are chemicals realsed in the brain when doing or seeing certain things that violence releases, and the same happens when those violents actions are preformed, said, or done. violence is a result of his video game addiction. or job.... him throwing his temper tantrums at his dad is the only way he can get anyone to hear what he's trying to say..., its a unfortunate situation
