cattle tag marker pens a great especially on dirty/rusty steel, not the most accurate as the line is like 5mil thick, good enough for the girls i go out with!!
I've unshrunk it. Cracking up. My entrainment for the night. Thanks Matt. That roof support looks boss, it'd be good to see more of the Saab build. I understand a bit more about the geometry of cars now. And also the effect of heat on metal components. Thanks as always.
Nice job with the filler panel! I like it when you admit to a mistake. You don't hide it but show how to deal with it. Just love your videos. Also thanks for the tip about stitch welding to reduce the warpage of the floor. I warped the hell out of mine because I did not know what I was doing. If only I had seen this video first.
I love seeing any fabrication that you do. Your use of safety gear is exemplary. Second only to your weld/fab. The welds on your jigs are as good as anyone would need for certification, never mind the cages, etc. Keep it up !
Just eating my dinner. Got absolutely drenched on the way home from work today. And yesterday. This can't get any better. After a long day. Nice one mat. 👍 😊
Brilliant video Matt, it doesn’t matter what you are working on - it’s all a very big learning curve - every single exercise / method whatever. Most interesting.
Hey Matt. Keep doing what you are doing. You videos are informative and presented in an easy manner. I enjoy your content, so keep it coming on all the projects you have currently underway.
I love it! I enjoy watching all your builds, so a little change up once in a while keeps it interesting. I'd like to see that escort too!! Keep up the great work
I will avidly watch any of your work Matt, Your projects fill me with enthusiasm, Like your approach to each and every step of the project and forward planning, Keep it up it's gonna be a goodun.
I have to admit i was a bit disappointed when it wasn't the mong.. but I'm happy to say I loved this anyway and I'd now look forward to anything you post.. keep up the good work
Top work as ever Matt. Good entertainment for me, so yes more of working on different vehicles is great. I mean, what can be better than a hot rod Pop. Never had to chance to do my own, but mates did years ago. You're welding's a thing of beauty.....and no I'm not buttering you up (grin).
Another great video with tips and tricks, Matt anything you work on will be great content as you take the time to explain and not just do it and leave us wondering how or why.
welcome to the world of cock ups.I stretched instead of shrinking more than once. I sat down once to figure out a way of installing the die sets with a bayonet fitting, just click and play but never got too far with that idea.
Though the mongrel is the star attraction so to speak im pretty sure most of your viewers will be happy to see other stuff while you wait for the blasters, im curious why you dont build a blast booth yourself, you have room for sure, but anyways we like to see your tips and tricks regardless what vehicle its on.
Owning a blasting booth ? Honestly? change of deformation diesel and energybills going thrue the roof dust flthy lonely noisy waste wear and tear (30 years under and around the blasting helmet )
Yeah boiii bring that thing out thing out whenever ya like matt 👍 keep up the awesome vids! Ur churning them out in record speed putting alot of people to shame! Hope the moneys starting to roll in... an update in that side of things would be good 👍👍👍
I definitely will watch you work on customer cars if you'll film it. I thought this Pop was the wrecked one. I'd love to know more about the wreck and the aftermath. The video ended before you got out of the car.
I was so happy to see this video I made myself a pint of porridge with way too many sugars in it and sat down on my sofa with extra pillows to watch this with my black tea also with way too many sugars lol 🏴
Great video Matt, it's always good to watch someone who is good at their craft doing what they do best. What's the difference between spot welding and MIG welding? ie why didn't you MIG weld the bent bit to the straight bit for the roof?
I really like this sort of video, and I was wondering if you subtracted camera time from the bill lol. I try to do my work by the job. That airs me the time to fumble with other crap. ((Not that I do your quality of work, but I do some repair or whatever))
A little tipp for filming . Maybe put a stop watch on your camera and every time you f* around with it just let the watch run. At the and of the day you know how much you worked and how much you spent time with the camera.
As much as I love watching you build the mongrel , I bet sometimes it's just nice to get a break and do something else. Besides you have to pay the bills somehow.
I think I speak for most of your fans by saying that we're happy to watch anything you're doing Matt (except maybe taking a dump) :-D Obviously, The Mongrel is what caught my eye to your channel, but I'm here to stay now mate, you're not getting rid of me lol P.S. Don't worry about the cock up, I don't think anyone noticed, and you can always edit it out :-D
Pop rod definitely an interesting build. In the true spirit of hot rodding it's all hand made one off parts combined with the current beer money scrapyard biggest bang for your buck (pop for your pounds?) I've just done the b204 on omega box rear wheel drive thing myself as it seems to be the cheapest 300 hp available in the UK scrapyard scene at the moment. Be interested to see your sump to compare with my cobbled up in the shed effort. I went with an ally welded new sump base and sides to get the bottom level then a steel box around the modified original pick up strainer with hinged flaps covering up holes in the box. A mate reckons that now the sumps 50% cast ally and 50% sheet ally welded together it will be as fragile as an Easter egg if anything knocks it. What are your thoughts?
No one gets the excitement from a new sharpie like a fabricator. It's the simple things in life. I cherish mine like gold.
They don't last 5 minutes though do they
No they're shite really.
Can you you get Milwaukee markzall there? It's all I use anymore.
Mine last quite a while honestly. I try to keep from marking oily material or dirty material. Get months out of them
cattle tag marker pens a great especially on dirty/rusty steel, not the most accurate as the line is like 5mil thick, good enough for the girls i go out with!!
No matter what project you work on, I am learning a lot; something from everyone of your videos. Thank you.
I've unshrunk it. Cracking up. My entrainment for the night. Thanks Matt. That roof support looks boss, it'd be good to see more of the Saab build. I understand a bit more about the geometry of cars now. And also the effect of heat on metal components. Thanks as always.
Heck Yeah, Matt....Would love to see more work done on it as it progresses....
I think you will find out people want to see all your projects your working on. Each project had its own uniqueness to it.
I had wondered what the story was with that car, keep the Great videos coming Matt they are all enjoyable.👍
I love seeing any fabrication that you do. Your use of safety gear is exemplary. Second only to your weld/fab. The welds on your jigs are as good as anyone would need for certification, never mind the cages, etc. Keep it up !
a poor man's shop, creativity by using whatever you can find to use, building on low budget. I love it
i cast a vote for more pop but frankly every video has been informative and fun to see.
Could definitely watch more on this build as it's unique and I personally find this stuff alot more interesting.

Jealous people who can’t weld for shit.
Robert Machin no pleasing some, I think he does cool work
Keep up the great work
More than happy to see this thing being built. Great work as always
Yeah more on this build please . I got a good grasp of the front suspension fab work but would like to see more specifics on it if possible.
I like seeing more of all projects. Thanks for sharing
Would love to see more of what you do love watching you work no matter what it is
That was some nice welding, great tip on the spotting to stop distortion.
Nice to mix it up a bit. Enjoying your work again. Bring it on.

That is one cool little hot rod! More please?
I will avidly watch any of your work Matt, Your projects fill me with enthusiasm, Like your approach to each and every step of the project and forward planning, Keep it up it's gonna be a goodun.

That's a really cool project, definitely keen to see more!
I’m keen to see more videos on your mate’s project. Can you film a video giving us a rundown on what you’ve done so far?
I’ve been enjoying seeing the Mongrel progress but other stuff like this is good to see too.
I have to admit i was a bit disappointed when it wasn't the mong.. but I'm happy to say I loved this anyway and I'd now look forward to anything you post.. keep up the good work
Yeah man. Would love to see more stuff like this
Great tip on the rack mount. Thanks for sharing that process. : )
Loving your work as all ways its a joy to watch!!!!! And thanks for all the tips aswell.. You are one clever man matt thanks!!!!!
Another great video with tips and tricks, Matt anything you work on will be great content as you take the time to explain and not just do it and leave us wondering how or why.
I could watch the Stigs fabricating cousin all day.
The roof gusset is so over the top!
;-)
Matt those gloves are toast 😅🤣
Love to see more of this.
Such a joy looking at these welds :)
As usual, worth watching. Great metal work.
Fab work as usual from matt
Definitely want to see more of the pop.
Love the roof skin plate.
more FORD POP HOT ROD
great work as always, matt.
More videos would be great, being ex motor trade I thoroughly enjoy watching a craftsman at work
Repaired a motor today on an industrial door and as I slid the motor back on I said to myself... like a glove... 😂
Nice mix. Can’t wait to see the 100E finished though.
I will enjoy anything you fabricate
More videos please. Love the content and tips.
Keep up the good work and lets see more on the Pop ,having built one in the past with a Rover V8 anything on Pops is very welcome and interesting
That’s a beasty little roller skate.
So good Matt! Audio is alot better too
Hi Mat, really enjoying the stuff you do mate. top bloke.
Good work fella..👏👏
Good job on that
welcome to the world of cock ups.I stretched instead of shrinking more than once. I sat down once to figure out a way of installing the die sets with a bayonet fitting, just click and play but never got too far with that idea.
Keep it coming Matt, all good stuff! All the Best for Christmas and 2019.
another great video, would like to see more on the Saab.
Honestly?
change of deformation

(30 years under and around the blasting helmet )
keeps paying the Bills
Any fab is good. Thanks
Yeah boiii bring that thing out thing out whenever ya like matt 👍 keep up the awesome vids! Ur churning them out in record speed putting alot of people to shame! Hope the moneys starting to roll in... an update in that side of things would be good 👍👍👍
Hi..its all good stuff matt...whatever your welding
I definitely will watch you work on customer cars if you'll film it. I thought this Pop was the wrecked one. I'd love to know more about the wreck and the aftermath. The video ended before you got out of the car.
Like both cars Matt have a pop and my daughter had an 100e too just keep them coming most enjoyable
I was so happy to see this video I made myself a pint of porridge with way too many sugars in it and sat down on my sofa with extra pillows to watch this with my black tea also with way too many sugars lol 🏴
what an grand idea
Great video Matt, it's always good to watch someone who is good at their craft doing what they do best. What's the difference between spot welding and MIG welding? ie why didn't you MIG weld the bent bit to the straight bit for the roof?
ya very good if you keep showing everything you do we will catch up and be involved in all the projects
I really like this sort of video, and I was wondering if you subtracted camera time from the bill lol. I try to do my work by the job. That airs me the time to fumble with other crap. ((Not that I do your quality of work, but I do some repair or whatever))
Very interesting, thanks. Terrific quality as ever.
Nice job 😁
Yeah more please Matt
Built not Bought, like it
A good alternative to Tigerseal is PU40 from toolstation. It's made by Sika, and only about £4 a tube.
Collano makes a cartridge glue specific for vehicle panels.
Great work as usual, did you build the front suspension on this from scratch or is it a kit?
yes show more please
Definitely more please
A little tipp for filming . Maybe put a stop watch on your camera and every time you f* around with it just let the watch run. At the and of the day you know how much you worked and how much you spent time with the camera.
That's a great idea, Cheers
Hi I would like to see more great content great videos so interesting to view
Hi Matt...is the Saab engine a pretty popular choice for swaps in the UK ?
yes please to the other car build just like to see your craftman ship b brill
As much as I love watching you build the mongrel , I bet sometimes it's just nice to get a break and do something else. Besides you have to pay the bills somehow.
my old foreman joiner always said its not making the mistake its how to get out of it that counts
I think I speak for most of your fans by saying that we're happy to watch anything you're doing Matt (except maybe taking a dump) :-D Obviously, The Mongrel is what caught my eye to your channel, but I'm here to stay now mate, you're not getting rid of me lol

It depends what sheet was used, filler and who welded it etc but no in general it gets done all the time and should be fine. Cheers
9 people need to get a life !! How could you not like watching Matt do his thing !
Hey Matt just wondering what kind of tubing you use on your cages. Keep up the awesome work I love this car!
Its seamless cds from proformancemetals.co.uk Cheers
Hell ya brother more pls
Hi matt, was just wondering why you use a saab engine? Well why not but, but is there a specific reason for the engine choice? Take it easy, Martin
that engine has British heritage, it's a redesign on the Triumph slant 4
Really?
The SAAB turbo is not common in Canada, so I am none too familiar with it. Why choose it instead of say a Mazda MZR/Ford Duratec?
