Its addictive 😍 is fishing 🎣, done for 60 years, great mulloway mate 👍, i love ❤️ lure fishing especially barra on lures Darwin, got 17/ 80cm plus Saratoga! Allowed to keep 2 each, cheers 🍻 ❤ 😊
hah you had the sunken ship in there.........that spot on the deep side has given me a few great sized flatty's & just around at the next point on the corner that we call "shark point" cos last year all we caught were sharks (towards bar point) has also on a slack tide / turn......lots of oversized ive had to throw back tho. They also finally dragged the sunken ship away from the pylon and ripped it down at the ramp........maybe 3 or 4 months ago now....i remember seeing it taking up most of the parking. I've caught a few big jewies not even going past bar island / point (only a few keepers +80cm) but nothing massive like ppl get at juno point near the heads / lion island yet. I use live bait and a lot of the time you will get a stingray.......but sometimes a jewie. Easy way to tell if you got a ray is if its heavy and hard to pull up when you think the "fish" is in relax.....then it suddenly runs. Most big jewies ive got are WAY easier to bring in than a ray.......
That fish looks just like the Speckled Trout we catch along the Texas coast here in the US. If you look up fishing for fishing Trophy Speckled Trout from Port Mansfield & South Padre Island you'll be amazed how both species look alike except Speckled Trout have lavender, silver and pink colors mixed in with black dots.
