I think truck manufacturers saw what they were charging and getting for side by sides and were like why cant we charge ridiculous prices for basic vehicles, and adjusted their msrps.
Turf mode was a much needed change. Our x2 850 has been reliable but I had to buy a new set of tires so our grass survived. It also chirps like crazy on pavement making turns. The 850 has been a good engine has more than enough power for a two seater doing casual trails while also being fuel efficient. If they added turf mode, the new display, and if they could work on the sound deadening and focus on making it quieter I would upgrade to a new x2850 model. If they could lower the engine to cab heat transfer that would be a bonus. I don't have time or patience to add a bunch of heatshield myself.
For people saying that you could buy a pretty nice Jeep or 4RUNNER for this money, you are correct. However, i have a very well-built TJ and a Can Am X3 Maverick XRC. The XRC will go up roads my Jeep can't handle, especially at high speeds...
Then again XRC can't go on roads legally so who really wins in that argument??? With that being said give ORV's are way overpriced as is most things these days!!!

Ive owned the 2022 xtr Rmax 4 and loved the short wheel base. you could turn around on tight trails. Im liking what I see on this stretched model. Rmax's are very dependable and very tough machines. They ride like a dream compared to a KRX4.
I agree! i have a brand new 2023 RMAX 1000 Four Seater my buddy bought a 2024 Can Am Maverick we went riding last week my RMAX was going places he couldn't go on his he almost high centered on a few steep narrow hills that mimicked a roller coaster ride coming down he was scraping his skid plates nasty while mine went over them with ease bigger doesn't mean better IMO
Now i want to sell my 2022 Rmax4! We wanted more rear room, slightly longer wheelbase and more rear cargo room, this thing hit all the check boxes for me.
I have a truly awesome Ford F-150 Platinum with both heated and cooled seats and it is just unbelievably comfortable. Is there any chance that Yamaha could do that with AC and heating in this SXS that is 14 years late to the four seat game ?
I agree that it’s priced too high but comparing these to trucks is dumb. You either want a truck or a toy…no one actually interested in buying a sxs is gunna say”aww these are too much I will just go buy a truck” 🤦♂️ also there is a LOT of places around me that allow sxs and atvs on trails but not jeeps and trucks
@@tylermatthews7655 you’re right about the trails not allowing road vehicles, but people absolutely do cross shop these with used 4x4s. A 2 door wrangler is essentially a toy. An 08-14 4Runner will cost around 12k, leaving plenty of budget to build it into a trail rig.
It would have been nice if you could have shown up how the front windshield worked, folding out; how many possible positions? How’s it work? Does it lock open? Is it just an accessory or does it come stock on the upgraded version? What’s it made out of?
