Omg - you guys are gonna love this dessert! And it's actually super easy to make! I chat about the substitutions on the full blog post, including that you can make it vegan with an egg replacer. Enjoy! xo - Lisa
I just wanted to let you know when I get home from work, an in between my own small channel building, I’m watching your channel! Definitely the BEST channel I have come across (and I can be a little critic). It’s balanced, professional, very well organized, and fresh! I know the work that goes into all of this and I’m so grateful you share your education with us💜 I can tell you are a genuine sweet person too.
I am so happy to hear that 😊And welcome to the Downshiftology community. I hope that each person gains some new insight on how to nourish the body here.
Thank you for teaching me a new recipe. I love that you made this dairy free. I ditched dairy and now I make dairy free recipes and videos too. I hope we can learn more from each other. I’m thankful to be able to learn from your talent and skills.
Nicely done! You can store the coconut cream upside down in the fridge, and then when you open the top, it will all be coconut water, easier to pour away!
I think you are the Best healthy recipe vlogger! I've done so many of your desserts and my family can't get enough! We all Love your recipes because they're great for our healthy sweet tooth. I'm definitely making this showstopper! Thank you so much!
Goodness me! I just LOVE your channel. I have many food allergies and it has been very difficult finding healthy recipes that are vegan and gluten free that are easy to make. Thank you!
Vegan friendly = you can also make it vegan. So relax people! 😍 Most of the more traditional trifle recipes include some sort of alcohol to soak the cake... Any suggestions? 😎
77leofi, This recipe has no alcohol. If you want to sprinkle the brownie pieces with a few tablespoons of rum, Kahlúa, orange or raspberry liqueur, etc., you can do that.
WHAT KIND OF WITCHCRAFT IS THIS!? I grew up only aware of strawberry trifle, so to come in and suggest a chocolate version was mind-blowing enough...and then you added gluten-free and dairy-free to that equation. Magic! So happy I'm newly subscribed to your channel.
I could not make this: ingredients would get eaten in the process. Because I cannot find Koyo Coconut milk anymore :( I use this Native Forest brand of coconut milk--inexpensive and good, but inconsistent as the gum and oil content is high. I separate these as well as they collect on the very top of the can. it is best to flip the can upside down and pour the water out first. This is easier but does not always work mind you. It helps to set the milk out for a while before placing in the frig overnight or longer. Before opening the can, you can also try placing it in the freezer for just few minutes (water will freeze if left more than 10 mins or so).
Oh wow this is so helpful! My brother-in-law has recently been put on a gluten and dairy free diet by his doctor and it can be so hard to figuring out dessert, thanks!
I hope you enjoy this trifle! It sounds like it would be a perfect fit for your brother-in-law. You can also sort by gluten-free/dairy-free desserts on my website. I have many of them! :)
Oh my... I think this will be my birthday cake this year :). I'm planning a family dinner and first I wanted to do the caramel cheesecake but this looks so amazing that I might change my mind. Thank you for these amazing recipes all the time
Omg!! This looks so delicious! I love chocolate! I am definitely going to make this for the holidays! Thank you so much for this wonderful recipe Lisa!😊
I love your recipes and that you don’t overwhelm with way too many options. I like to keep life simple and quality over quantity wins every time for me. I identify your channel with good healthy living and a wider awareness, as such was a little surprised to see you using plastic film to cover the bowls while chilling in the fridge. I’ve not used this wasteful and unnecessary plastic film for years now, a large plate over the bowl does the job just as well. Would love to see you demonstrating environmental awareness with all the products you use.
Looks delicious. going to make this and if everyone likes it I'm going to do it at Christmas . ...... i've made your soups and amond butter and love all of them
Thanks so much for following along to my channel and I'm happy you've enjoyed a few of my recipes so far! If you love chocolate, I'm sure you and your family will love this one ❤️
I just did a “trial” run of this as I wanted to make for Christmas. I love the brownies and whip cream but the pudding didn’t have much flavor. I sweetened with vanilla and Lankato maple syrup. Do you have any suggestions to make the pudding taste more sweet. Ours was pretty bland.
I'm so happy to hear that! It may look like an intimidating dessert, but it's a lot easier than you think 😊If you do make this, would love for you to tag me in it so I can see your creation!
YES 😊 It's been hard to contain but it's finally here! If you love chocolate, you're going to love this recipe. You can also find the trifle dish link in the video description or in the recipe post on my website here: downshiftology.com/recipes/brownie-trifle/

very nice gluten free diet...yummy and colourfull good 2 minutes campaign whenever you watch any body's video on youtube please watch it at least for 2 minutes other wise waist. we have top support every hardworking and honest youtuber.
Any suggestions for an alternative whipped cream? i really don’t like coconut 😞 i would like to be able to replicate this dessert for my company christmas party!
Yessss The brownie mix and all their products are certified Kosher by the ou! Now all I have to do is reduce the brownie carbs for my body’s healing, any suggestions, please. I work for my total daily carbs to be 20 grams or below.
This looks amazing. But how exactly do you serve a trifle? Do you just scoop some out into a bowl? Just the top couple layers? Or all the way to the bottom? 🤔
Do you think this could be frozen to help travel? I always go to family who an hour away for Christmas, Easter and New Years Day family meals where my Aunt cooks for all 30+ of my family! (So assembling the triple once at her house isn't an option because it is chaos over there). I'm wondering if I could freeze the whole triple (or even just the layers of coconut whipped cream) which would defrost (but hopefully stay cool) on the hour drive (and then be placed in the fridge once arrive). What do yall think? Do you have any experience freezing whipped coconut?
Made this for a dinner party last night. Honestly, it was just ok - it's just missing a little something to elevate it. I should just served the brownies alone for all the effort. I do however appreciate all your effort to bring us alternative ideas.
Omg - you guys are gonna love this dessert! And it's actually super easy to make! I chat about the substitutions on the full blog post, including that you can make it vegan with an egg replacer. Enjoy! xo - Lisa
I may be doing this for Thanksgiving!!!
So... what would you substitute the eggs for, to make it vegan friendly?
Hi there! You can use mashed bananas as an egg replacer :)
@@Downshiftology how many bananas you should use
@@Downshiftology How about flaxseed eggs for this who don't care to have a banana taste in other foods?
Trifle reminded me of Rachel 😅
Dhivyaa Naraayani ... sautéed beef and onions 😀
Omg!!! That’s exactly what I was thinking!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
Shepherd pie and dessert mixed triffle. Rachel rocked it 😂
I LOVE JACQUES COSTEAU
Exactly what I was thinking! 🤣
