I still leave them active as long as they are still profitable and continue to get sales during Day 1 of the scaling adset. If not, i’ll shut them off

Great video as always, when you set multiple ad sets at broad, are you doing it because you want the pixel to gather better data faster or are you just trying to test if broad performs better? If you are why did you set up multiple broad ad sets instead of one?
The reason I do it is because each adset will target a small pocket of audience.
Although they are all targeting broad, each adset is being served to a small pool of people. So i’m seeing which adset may perform the best.
@@taysthetic Gotcha, have you been getting better results from interest targeting? I get no conversions or ATCs when I go broad but lots of purchases using interests
@@stemratex yes, I like using interests and they definitely do still work. If you’re getting better results with that, then keep sticking with it.
Sometimes you may need a lot more purchase data on your ad account/pixel before broad can work.

Hey Tay - in this video you're setting everything up using images for creatives which is straightforward. Do you talk anywhere about how to deal with multiple video creatives?
I have a video that shows a full tutorial of how i create/edit video ads. As far as testing, it's the same structure:
2-3 video ads per adset all with different hooks in each video. In other words, they can all be the same video ad but with different visuals or what you write/say in the first 3 seconds of each video.

It basically means that within 2 days of running a test adset, you should at least have gotten a sale by now.
So you should look at it from the full date range.

The creative and the hook are what's targeting on facebook. Never use interests.
I agree, the creative + the hook is important. But testing interests still works and you don’t know if it does until you try it. Interests are still there for a reason.

Yes you can also test an adset with a stack of related interests too! (Ie. Beauty Brands, Magazines, etc)

If you a lot of purchase data from a previous product, then definitely use a fresh pixel and ads manager if you can

No, not necessarily. You can just stack together all the interests that were giving you good performance no matter the amount!

Do you also use the Winning Interests to put them in a CBO or only inside an ABO Adset?
I stack them as a first step towards scaling. Once the stacked ABO adset does well, then I scale with CBOs with multiple duplicates of the stacked adsets. If you want you can also test a CBO with 1 winning interest per adset, instead of stacking them per adset.

Ok when we set the budget for an ad set to say $10...and have two creatives when I click on the adset in ads manager i see $10 next to each creative so $10 will be used for each creative (or $20) or the entire ad set is $10 and its splits between the two creatives?

Hey tay, do you look at the metrics of the adset or the metrics of the different ads (creatives). So if an Creative has a CPC of 2 dollar you kill it? or you just kill the whole adset when the CPC is over 2 dollar?
I look at both. If there is an ad that has a cheap CPC and another with an expensive one, you can try to turn off the expensive one and continue to let the adset push some more budget to other ad. If the CPC recovers on the adset level, then keep it running!
So whilst you're scaling phase 2 are you still looking for more winning adsets in the original ABO campgain? If so and you find another winning ad set how do you add that to your CBO stack that you've copied 5 times
How about testing creatives and advertorials etc? What is the best way to test that efficiently

You can test it if you want, but me personally, I don’t stack with engaged shoppers. This was a strategy back in the old days

You can kill all bad performing ad sets in the CBO within a 3-7 day time period. Then only leave the profitable ad sets running in the CBO

There’s a button that says “breakdown” on the right side of the ads manager. From there, you can click on Placement to see where your ads were shown and where ppl bought from
I got an important question bro:
How do you avoid your campaign / adset from entering learning phase. This can be quite annoying and burns money.
Do you do anything in particular first before launching your main testing adsets
Every new adset you launch starts at the learning phase, so there’s no way around it.
But what can help is if you get like 50-100 purchases organically. That way, the pixel has some initial data it can work with and might improve the performance of your test adsets.
However, I don’t do organic and I just do straight cold targeting with zero pixel data. Testing good products + creatives is really the true game of facebook ads

There’s no way I can acquire 50 purchases of the learning phase has bad data such as high metrics.

I’m constantly creating fresh adsets and campaigns when testing/scaling so it’s basically always in a “learning phase”.
Even when some adsets do complete the “learning phase”, the results start dwindling down eventually and the fresh ones perform better

Regarding the winning ad set that is broad - why create a new broad ad set? Why not take the existing winning broad ad set, keep only the winning ad creative, and set the budget to $50?
Because going from $10 to $50 is a major jump (400% increase) which will greatly reset the learning from the initial $10 adset.
It's better to retain the learning of your $10 adset and start a fresh $50 one that targets a new audience, but instead, it has your validated winning creatives.
It usually performs the best this way.

Either the ad account/pixel still needs more time to find your target customers or you need to optimize your landing page/offer.
If your CPCs are higher than $1-1.50 then it’s also a creative issue

Why 5-winning stacks in one CBO? Would that not just be auction overlap?
Each adset stack will be served to a small pocket of audience. So we let the CBO choose the best one and turn off the other adsets overtime. Haven’t seen much issue with overlap.
Again, just test my strategy to see if it works for you, if it doesn’t, then run just 1 adset

Do proper keyword research dude. Your ads reach is very very low and i think this way you're guzzling dollars. do a proper Keyword Research and SEO.

Voice-over is what’s working best right now. Captions without voice still works too and you can try testing it. Just depends what you’re selling

No, keep the adsets off that didn’t survive from day 1
On first you said make budget atleast 10$ but after that you make 10 ad sets each 10$ it mean we have to burn 150$ or more for burning if the product is not wining..
Firstly, you definitely need a budget before using paid ads. (At least $1000-2000+)
You can’t expect any results if you’re not willing to spend.
Secondly, you’re not necessarily going to “burn” $150 for each product you test. You can save yourself money by following my Day 1 metrics to kill adsets before they waste you money.
If the metrics are bad, then you should ideally have only spent around $30-50 before deciding to kill the campaign.
Question. Why you don't use DCT (Dynamic Creative Testing) changing with headlines and Text. Question. Why 5 ad sets x 3 ad with broad targeting (no interest) = 3 ads "all the same" in 5 ad sets? Why? Means 15 ads with 3 different ad in each set?
Isn't that is the same as ONE adset why duplicate 5x in braod targeting.

No. You are doing CBO not ABO.
