I've always loved Wagakki Band (Japanese Grai, as I like to think of them). Creative interesting organic music. Love the singer, Yuko Suzuhana, who was the driving force behind the creation of the band as well as the songwriting. Cool to hear traditional Japanese singing involved by her also. I disagree with any criticisms here, since I think she did a brilliant job of singing in both traditional Japanese style and Western style. As far as the traditional style singing, I think it is supposed to sound just like that. She is also an excellent pianist. Yuko is married to Ibukuro Kiyoshi, the koto (the big stringed piano-like instrument) player, and they have a daughter. It's also great to hear current Japanese music in which the band members are not all trying to seem 12 years old. As far as the flue playing, he was not out of key, he was playing a clever counter melody.
Welcome to the world of Wagakki band. Here there were two songs, "Homura" (flame) an instrumental song that Machiya (the guitarist) brought with him from previous projects. The song is rarely performed in the same way from concert to concert and is only performed live. Song no two is "Akatsuki no ito" (thread of dawn) also written by Machiya, The song is used as an encore chant by the audience. The song is also more representative of what Wagakki Band does. The band was officially started in 2013 by Poet, Pianist, composer, Kenshibu dancer and Shigin singer Yuko Suzuhana. They have released 7 studio albums. Wagakki band is an 8 piece band consisting of Yuko Suzuhana - vocals, piano Machiya - guitar, vocals Beni Ninagawa - tsugaru shamisen (3 string) Kiyoshi Ibukuro - koto (25 strings, Japan's national instrument) Asa - bass Daisuke Kaminaga - shakuhachi (bamboo flute) Wasabi - drums Kurona - wadaiko (traditional drums) Recommend Bougetsu Wagakki Band - 望月 (Bou Getsu) / HALL TOUR 2017 四季ノ彩 -Shiki no Irodori-
My problem is not with this band but with the fan base that continues to keep recommending this song for "shock" reactions 😂😂😂 like yeah it's great but move Tf on. Literally type this song and reaction and jeebus the list is endless. I absolutely love love love this band they are incredible but the rest of their discography and their sound that has evolved over the years has and continues to be overshadowed by this video and anything with Amy lee. Check out more from them is my recommendation. There is sooooo much more
This "problem" has almost every band that is looked at for the first time by a very large number of reactors. Whether you are Love Bites or Nightwich or Band Maid or Jinjer and many others, there is usually always a reaction to 1 or 2 songs first. But because many people only react to these and then jump to the next ones, they don't notice all the others. Or they listen to everything else without noticing. But you also have to say that these songs are often a good example of what these musicians do.
As Dr.Acula pointed out in the middle of his comment: This are TWO songs: Homura (instrumental) + Akatsuki no Ito (complete band) I think, this has to be heared more times to fully appreciate is... just because there is so much (unfamiliar) going on
That is something we have raised as a group. We have three different setups so sometimes one of us hears levels better than the other. Andy has just got better speakers as they were cutting all the low end. Dave has recording studio speakers which is why he can hear the levels better than the others
I don't understand this video. Why these cuts? It's not that long. Maybe less speculation and more listening. I almost think that when you hear an ancient Japanese folk song, it reminds you of some metal band from the 80s. every metal band reminds me of Bach
@@adkrockandmetal The Live Videos seem to have no problem. copyright-wise. A myriad of other reactors uses them in all variations withot cuts and in good video/sound quality. Their older Music videos with their former Label Avex are a completely other thing. Avex is taking the nuclear aproach (on MVs), to quote some comment from somewhere... For Live-Performaces (which are almost alwas great, look out for the "Dai Shinnenkai" ones ... this is their annual new years concert in Japan. Always a great show and captured in good quality. ((and no copyright issues)

Truly incredible to see that in a reaction video one of the three continues undaunted to mind his own business, if he's not interested, why make the video?
We guess yoiu mean Andy. He tends to listen and make notes in a note book as the video plays and looks up from time to time. This means he captures his thoughts on the song but does miss parts of the video. Kirk is more analytical and references things and Dave just takes it all on face value. It gives a unique appraoch to the channel
Don't mind the breaks to get your thoughts but skipping/fast forwarding the track is annoying. As a listener/viewer going along with the experience/reaction with you three, we miss out on what you are talking about since we don't hear/see chunks of what you heard/saw. We, the audience, miss out on that entire experience- very disappointing mates. There are so many users doing reactions on RUclips to choose from & I thought I'd give you guys a try this time round but it'll be the last.
We have changed style since then. We now have a new studio so we are altogether and we just now pause to discuss parts or leave the song playing in full. I suggest you watch a recent release to see our new setup
