@@gratler so it's a glitch in Diablo 1 that never got patched out. But when you pick up a potion from your potion belt, it hovers it, similar to when you pick up an item from your inventory. But you don't need your inventory open. So the glitch is this: Drop whatever item you want to dupe (in this case, gold) Walk a few tiles away from the item. Then click on the item on the ground to pick it up. While your character is walking to the item you want to dupe, take your cursor to a potion on your potion belt. At the same time your character is about to pick up the item from the ground, click a potion from your belt. If you timed it correctly, it will create a duplicate of the item in your cursor, while the original is in your inventory. This works for any item in the game basically. The only thing to be aware of is if you put the original item on the ground with the duplicate, it will delete one of them as it detects the duplicate. But as long as it is in your inventory, then it's no problem. So you can get thousands and thousands of gold very quickly. It's also good for duping spell books because in D1, reading multiple books is how you increase the level of the spell. Duping TP scrolls until you can learn the TP spell is nice too.
@@Larsgman It's on GoG now, and it's functional. If you play as a warrior, the main thing to remember is dexterity is THE stat to put most of your points in, doing 20 points of damage in a single hit doesn't matter if you have to swing 8 times to land a hit and get slapped 10 times in the process.
i think it's a spell bug. *quote*Any attack causing more damage than a character's current hit points will not stun the character if they are using Mana Shield. Furthermore, the game considers the character to be in a state of death for a small period of time before his/her hit points are "refunded" by the Mana Shield. During this period of death (fraction of a second) the character is actually rendered immune to attacks, and cannot be knocked backward as well.
Im duping gold, saving and reloading to "reset" the item that adria is selling so i can get : a phasing staff, mana shield, fire wall and filling my inventory of mana potion.
I dont think that seeds exists . I know few people do segmented runs. They save the best segments of a lot of run they did. And any% is pure RNG and needs to be from a fresh new game no seeds.
Congratulations, but this more a glitch run than a speed run 😅. Cheating on money and a shitload of save/load. Man, do it without the money bug and without reloading. :)
