All troubled souls watching this filling their hearts with this beautiful sound at 3 a.m. say hi!
this may be one of the best songs ever written. no exaggeration. this song moves me.
I really thought I was the only one. Been listening on repeat for months.
yup
Absolutely stunning song. I agree.
Truth
@@sapphicsphinx2821 5 years later i still rocking this song
Will be listening to Metric for the rest of my life.
Me too! Since discovering them 3-4 years ago they've quickly become my favourite... amazing band.
Emily sounds better live than she does recorded. Not only is she incredibly gorgeous, she;s insanely talented. Seen them live many times. All time favorite band.
She looks like she's on Crack.
props to joules for keeping this beat up for that long. phew. also jesus they all look great for being in their late 40s. amazing songwriting for the past seventeen years. now or never now, such a great line to ponder in your own life.
This will be the opening song of every Metric mix CD I ever burn for the rest of time.
You're going to flip your lid when someone tells you about the ipod 😂
Cool...I've seen Metric five times live, small venues or mega festival, they are always awesome :)
Such a privillege
That mesmerising voice resonates your soul. Utterly beautiful ❤️
Oh, look....Jimmy Fallon plays drums now. Just playin'...... METRIC OWNS
This song is so damn amazing.
Although this song doesn’t currently top the list of Metric’s best tunes, it will likely go down as Emily’s masterwork when the history of Metric is written.
She is a sublime lyricist. Her literary education and background in poetry shines through in so many songs. “Blindness” is brilliant, Lou Reed adored “Gimme Sympathy,” and “Stadium Love” is one long allegory.
You could write a college paper on “Now or Never Now.” There’s meat in every stanza. Intentional or not, the inclusion of the second now echoes Hamlet’s call to arms in his 5th-act speech to Horatio:
‘. . . the readiness is all. Since no man of aught he leaves knows, what is ’t to leave betimes? Let be.’
Translated: it’s now or never. . . now. It’s his last chance at redemption.
I agree completely. I just love deeply personal songs like this. You are getting older. It's now or never; right now.
This song is a master class.
I see it as a song about people using technology social media and addictions to fill every moment of every day. And it’s very rare that we allow ourselves to just live in the moment.
‘Because the last time I let myself feel this way was a long long time ago
And we get so scared to be nowhere left alone’
‘It’s now or never, now’ can be interpreted in two ways: 1. These days people always want to be satisfied ASAP, or 2. It’s important to live in the current moment, and Allow yourself to feel through your feelings!
@@mintcream7017 That's a great interpretation. Thanks!!

So grateful this song was made. The antidote for all the meaningless music out there
She doesn't even sound good live.
