1:40 The scales are weird because the Advanced Hazel is supposed to be 18.1m tall, so the Woundwort is scaled pretty well to the Hazel (one of the size comparison drawings puts it at shoulder height) but they're both incorrect to the RX-78, which is 18m tall. I guess the higher details and complexity force them to be scaled a bit bigger.
I swear. I’m so mad that this is P-Bandai. The TR-6 series MS are my favourite Mobile Suits (with the RX-124 Gundam TR-6 [Haze’n thlay II-Rah] being my favourite Gundam of all time). I was planning to get this, but everywhere I could get it was overpriced.
i hear ya. there's been a number of HG kits i liked and most of them ended up being p-bandai. i mean, sure, where i'm from i can maybe find some places that has a few of them in stock, but the prices? almost all p-bandai store stock costs as much as a regular mg does.
Whether or not that's true, it's still incredibly infuriating. Basically the only real reason it's pbandai is that all the other AoZ kits were, see how all the crossbone kits are pbandai as well.
The Advance of Zeta revolves ard the story of the titan test team. It took place during gryps wars in Zeta gundam. The teams objective is to test newly develop ms as well as using those ms to repel against zeon remenants. They are good guys who simply follow orders of the corrupted superiors of titans eg Captain bass told them to escort a "cargo" ship but the test team did not know that the cargo ship contained poison gas to be used agaisnt one of the residents of the colonies during the zeta gundam story. The TR6 is basicly the compilation of the TR series. It mimics the Gundam alike head from TR1 Hazel to inflict psycological warefare to zeon remenants. It mimics the transformation idea from TR3 Kehaar. It mimics the Blade riffle weapon as well as fire power from TR5 Hrairoo and TR2 Bigwig. It can be attached to the dandelion support unit just like The TR4 core unit rossette The manga depicts that the TR6 was supposed to be pilot by Captain Murphy but he gt injured from a battle using a TR5 advanced hrairoo against a traitor who stole the Gabaldy high Mobility test type Titan unit who is now in AEUG. This leads to having eliard hunter to use the TR6 instead to repel against the AEUG as the titans were in trouble in the final stage of gryps war. The test team mothership aswan was defended by an Advance hazel owsla piloted by carl matsubara while the woundwort headed to the frontline. Unfortunately, the manga depicts that the TR6 was destroyed by its pilot Eliard hunter itself due to the defeat of the titans as well as a truce to the AEUG enemy. Carl rescued Eliard using the advance hazel owsla and both of them escaped from the war zone using the primerose escape pod which is the chest of the advanced hazel owsla while the hazel parts got disintegrated into space.
I ding Gundam for having almost universally terrible "flight modes," but I like the approach this design takes. Instead of even attempting to make the mobile suit look aerodynamic, they just go full UFO on this, and it doesn't look half bad in the process. And instead of handwaving away the observation that this thing clearly wouldn't be flight-worthy in atmosphere, they go, "Too right, but you know how it _would?_ By being even *_more_* of a UFO!"
what about the zeta plus a1 or c1 and delta plus?.. i think those those mobile suits have a very convincing flight mode and if youre talking about having more of a UFO mode i think the asshimar takes the cake..
You're certainly not wrong. Those are the exceptions that prove the rule. It's telling that their transformations are based on the Zeta, which is itself based on/an homage to the VF-1 of _Super Dimension Fortress Macross_ fame, a design so successful that people have been able to create working RC drones of it: ruclips.net/video/_jfiSAErAp0/видео.html Meanwhile, you have stuff like the Wing Gundam's Bird Mode, ie literally just a robot with a shield on its face.
To be fair, with the scale and actual thrust output of most mobile suits I doubt aerodynamics would make a difference. On top of that lets be honest, there were quite a few mobile suits designed with space as the only intent so why bother weighing down the design for the sake of traditional aerodynamics in the first place.
It's called a Drum Frame, Zaku The TR series is a system based from that Drum Frame, with it as the core, you can fully customize the mobile suit to fit for any combat situation
Huh. They actually did it. I bet that the freaking Monoeye Gundams would get kits before the Woundwort, but I'm glad I was proven wrong. Sisquiede next, please?
Bought two and used the waist from the second to create a mobile armor that mounts where the TR-5's tail mounts. It has a pair of Crow claws that when docked with the MS, fold over the arms like gauntlets. Gonna use the leftovers to try and build a Barzam II styled build.
I got the woundwort made by cutecube before bandai came out with an official version. 24 literal hours of building it later, and it now sits in a display stand in my room as the crowning jewl of my collection, until my recently ordered official bandai woundwort comes in the mail that is. still cant believe bandai put it as a p-bandai bc they thought it wouldn't sell well either way I hope they see the error of their ways and make it a full release and give it a master grade kit
the cutecube one has weird proportions, and it doesn't hold together well. I'd rather have an MG from Bandai, as this is one of my favorite suit designs. This, and the Hyzenthlay - 11 Rah.
The MG is crazy given how they are gonna do the inner frame mechanism given Woundwort is totally different than usual mobile suit. And transforming will be nightmare too it would be an another RG Zeta madness. Woundwort torso and arm are really slim and fragile. RE/100 is possible since they can ignore the inner frame and give partforms to the transformation.
An HG release of TR-6 + Inle would be killing. Probably because that thing is huge and P-Bandai release will make the thing as expensive as HG Neo Zeong. The small Ensemble figure is already cost at 16k yen!
Well... You can sort of combine the limbs (such as the legs) using u-shaped action base connectors. The piece slides in well. Someone did this on Reddit.
Note that there's a hidden peg in the middle crouch where you can attach the weapon just like in the game SD Gundam Generation Genesis. It just need a little bit of work tho. Mobile Form w/ Weapon: imgur.com/a/40PkKAv Hidden Peg: www.gunjap.net/site/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/hguc_woundwort075.jpg
The inle is so big and complicated that it would cost much, much, more than the dendobium, especially when you consider that they would have to create 2 more original hg molds for the hazenlay and those 6 armored mobile armor woundworts it docks with.
Ye, I'm dreaming here too. I'm not too certain on the size of inle, but they did make neo zeong 1/144. I believe that there is hope. If anything I am expecting expansion sets for the woundwort.
I paid less than a RG Sinanju price so it's not too bad, not gonna complain because it is one of the cheaper PB kit out there so...yeah. Mine will be coming next week, can't wait!
It's amazing that ive been consistently angry about this being P-Bandai since its release. Ive gotten over the Pixy, the Gouf Flight type, and even the MG Hazel, but I think this is just going to stick with me forever. What makes it even worse is that it's actually a great kit.
It's funny to hear somewhere in France the price of P Bandai kits are cheaper than the bootleg and the 3rd party ones. In my country however, the scalpers made a hellscape where almost everything is expensive. But idk about the bootleg ones
There are little hard points in the knees that you can see on the rear in MA mode. I wonder if there will be expansions for it or if it's compatible with those dengeki hobby bits.
What do you think about those rectangular slots ( 13:31 ) at the legs when you bent them over for MA mode? can you just connect the forelegs of the HGUC Hazel there? I have the HG Woundwort, but I don't have the Hazel so I am wondering.
I get the sense Bandai left those for some future expansion parts (Advanced Woundwort, Kehaar II, Hazel II, etc), they're not compatible with the HGUC Hazel as-is.
Guess what? Advance of Z is property of a magazine, and Bandai lost the license to release regular AoZ kits. That's why other designs like the Woundwort and the Primrose are P-Bandai, while the TR-1 and GM Quel HGs for example can still be re-released as regular releases.
If we’re lucky, Bandai will make a 1/100 scale version. Luckier if it is a standard release. Bandai might be testing the waters for AOZ and Sentinel designs considering we got the MG Deepstriker not too long ago. I’m crossing my fingers for a 1/100 scale Gaplant; more particularly, the Hrairoo.
I'm really disappointed they didn't make the ARZ-125 re haize as impossible as that sounds it would be easy with the hyzenthlay they would just have to recolor the hyzenthlay and add some new parts. It really is a shame I love the re haize, it looks like a char aznable, zeon hyzenthlay. Ps. I forgot how to spell char's name the r/gatekeepers of gundam are going to kill me. If there are any.
I love this suit so much I bought 2 ;w; my bank account wasn't too happy, but I one on display showing off her beauty, while I have another unopened should anything happen

Very doubtful that this will just stay as P-Bandai only, just wait and see they'll decide to fuck everyone over again and release a non-P-Bandai version of this, either it's gonna be crappier than the P-Bandai version or it's gonna be better in some way.

i red somewhere that Bandai couldnt sell Aoz kits in regular release anymore because copyright

Woundwort was intended for space use so there is no such thing as aerodynamic. Mobile suits in space relies more on thrusters/boosters anyway.
Gotta love the bizarre and awesome mechanical designs of the Gundam Woundwort and Advance Of Zeta.
We need a full Tweaked so fully transformable HG regular release plus the attachment units for the other configurations.
It took me so long to realize all of the Hazel suits are based on Watership Down. I though it was just a coincidence....
Sushiyoda such a good book
.
The woundwort is one of my favorite gundams ever
It's my second favorite
Little do you realize that the MS is named after a bunny character from Watership Down.
Bandai Pls. you need to stop doing this to us. at least have a US branch so we can give YOU the money and not some Ebay Scalper.
I got mine from a p-bandai chinese online shop for 60 bucks.
RollingzokuMR2 that's scalped because it's only supposed to be 18 bucks
@@iceicebabyil 30 for the kit, 30 for expedited shipping isn't too bad considering some prices i seen in my opinion. But to each their own.
Bandai: "What? Sorry! I'm busy dumping a lot of 0079, SEED, and Unicorn on mass retail. Come back in a few years....."
Bandai: "Fuck you, pleeb. We like moneyz~" 🖕🤑🖕
It's called a Drum Frame, Zaku
The TR series is a system based from that Drum Frame, with it as the core, you can fully customize the mobile suit to fit for any combat situation
Yes I know but I didn’t wanna get too technical. It’s just a review of the kit~ I figure if anyone’s interested they can find the wiki page ;)
Huh. They actually did it. I bet that the freaking Monoeye Gundams would get kits before the Woundwort, but I'm glad I was proven wrong. Sisquiede next, please?
Aerodynamics don't matter in space, only leaving & Reentry planet side. Note. No wind resistance in space
Bought two and used the waist from the second to create a mobile armor that mounts where the TR-5's tail mounts. It has a pair of Crow claws that when docked with the MS, fold over the arms like gauntlets.

I love the little cruiser pod mode thinking. I think it’s charming.
It feel like it came out from Star Wars lol
This entire MS is cute and unique, even with the extra cost of a PBandai I still got one
extremely curious as to what the cockpit interior might look like. never loved a suit more at first sight.
we need a re/100 or an mg :) praiiiiise the thickness
There's the cutecube one
well there is a third party 1:100 woundwort indeed. But if you are just a casual straightbuilder its not recommended
you know i want the 1/100 but in france the third party kit and the bootleg are way more expensive than bandai kit XD
the cutecube one has weird proportions, and it doesn't hold together well. I'd rather have an MG from Bandai, as this is one of my favorite suit designs. This, and the Hyzenthlay - 11 Rah.

My tip for getting it to hold the rifle is to use the folded up sub arm to pinch the arm in place.
Thanks for the size comparison!!
There's a sub arm in the dong thingy. The shield can be held with it.
Is it just me or does this kit feel a bit....feminine? When I first encountered this Gundam in Gundam Breaker 3, it was pretty awesome.
Yeah, looks quite like the waifu material.
it's quite sexy despite having such a lengthy member
It's got that long DIECKK though.
Feminine benis
It's Kawaii as heck, I had no issue paying 70 (canadian) bucks just to have this cute awesome MS
This kit looks like it was designed to be up scaled to an Re/100 with minimal mold changes. I doubt it will happen, but a boy can dream
An HG release of TR-6 + Inle would be killing. Probably because that thing is huge and P-Bandai release will make the thing as expensive as HG Neo Zeong. The small Ensemble figure is already cost at 16k yen!

I kinda want Bandai to make a Kehaar 2 and Inle Expansion set now
The inle is so big and complicated that it would cost much, much, more than the dendobium, especially when you consider that they would have to create 2 more original hg molds for the hazenlay and those 6 armored mobile armor woundworts it docks with.
There's always the 1/500 scale kits (which they have one of the Dendrobium). Also.....we can dream, right.......right?
Ye, I'm dreaming here too. I'm not too certain on the size of inle, but they did make neo zeong 1/144. I believe that there is hope. If anything I am expecting expansion sets for the woundwort.
Man, the HG Inle would be crazy. Even the recently announced Ensemble figure Inle cost about 16k yen!
Kehaar II would be the most reasonable (just a few add-ons and maybe a recolor), although IDK how happy people would be with a premium of a premium.
Needs a re 100
noah jaramillo AMEN
noah jaramillo Also regular HG release....I want to pose it next to Drossel.
Finally someone sensible enough to not wish it as MG. We dont want another RG Zeta mess.
I paid less than a RG Sinanju price so it's not too bad, not gonna complain because it is one of the cheaper PB kit out there so...yeah. Mine will be coming next week, can't wait!
I paid about same price with Full Metal Panic Arbalest ver IV. In fact I skip buy that to make way for this.
It's amazing that ive been consistently angry about this being P-Bandai since its release. Ive gotten over the Pixy, the Gouf Flight type, and even the MG Hazel, but I think this is just going to stick with me forever.
What makes it even worse is that it's actually a great kit.
And it's cute, it's so cute I still ponied up the cost to get it, if they ever make a normal release RG or MG I will buy it again
5:28 saved, and I will keep this part for.... reasons.
It's funny to hear somewhere in France the price of P Bandai kits are cheaper than the bootleg and the 3rd party ones. In my country however, the scalpers made a hellscape where almost everything is expensive. But idk about the bootleg ones
I absolutely love the woundwort, now if only iy wasn't pbandai.....and we had additional add on kits for its other forms....
I bought 2 and it was a good quick build.
If you listen closely you can hear it scream onii-chan
There are little hard points in the knees that you can see on the rear in MA mode.

Kinda wish they made this retail and THEN all its derivatives could have been p bandai part packs (like how they did the b packs of the narrative)
Hopefully we get a standard release version with adaptors for the limbs
Guess what? Advance of Z is property of a magazine, and Bandai lost the license to release regular AoZ kits. That's why other designs like the Woundwort and the Primrose are P-Bandai, while the TR-1 and GM Quel HGs for example can still be re-released as regular releases.

DankLord Popim more than 3! Haha
ZakuAurelius now that's what I wanted to hear! cant wait for the review.
the ship mode looks like enough to destroy alien space ships ....
Can it swap any parts with the HGUC Hazel Custom? HGUC Gaplant TR-5? How do the colors match?
Very cool and unique look
Need an MG TR-6 Hyzenthlay II
I hope a Build Version of this speed version
This MS was featured in Build Divers but in its 100% original form.
*E X T R A T H I C C*
Advance of zeta has so many great designes. Why don't they make many kits of them?
from what i know dengeki hobby owns the rights for the designs of AoZ..
Nice review thanks. 😀
This will be my 1st p bandai where to buy??
yo... great review, but the music at the begining of the video, can you post the link.
I want this kit in my live.
how difficult is it to mod Woundwort to fit parts from other kits (Hrairoo shoulders, Marasai legs, Bryalant arms)?
I guess you need to make the connectors for the legs then.
why do i feel like i can use the crow mode to make malzahars voidling
HEY! Zaku! u forgot about the SUBARM in the crotch! like how its SUPPOSED TO HOLD IT IN MA MODE!
im sad they couldn't follow the proper design 'script' T^T
I really like this but the 1/144 scale is too small for my big hands
Never thought I'd see you review such a … phalic Gunpla, but to each there own. Am I right?
Colin Masterson how about the RE/100 Nightingale...
Kinda remind me of leo orbital frame in Z.O.E 2
5:30
oh please I want to see that moded to woundwort Rah
Maybe bandai will release a Hrududu II as an add on.
I want this kit. too bad its like $80 for one now.
That is one weird looking mobile suit.
I know I'm probably in the minority but I'm a bit sad that you didn't show the transformation/partsform ;(
Why?
Wanna feel like a 5 years old 5:30
i had to pay 60€ for that thing, damn those import moguls
Just paid 70 Canadian dollars here, it's so cute I couldn't stop myself
such a cute little gundam😅
Hey,
I’ve seen images of the Woundwort being combined with other kits.
There is a small hole in the bottom of the thigh when the leg is folded, and apparently when the arms are folded another hard point appears.
ARGUS RA-31 yep, other forms use the Advanced Hazel legs for example
I wish USAGundamStore would send me my RG Sazabi already

who piloted this mobile suit ?
No one. This is prototype that produced in limited numbers. If they do Bandai wont mention the name as characters and story rights are not owned by Bandai.

Yep! And all the Watership Down references~ crow didn’t seem strange to me

@@ZakuAurelius yup. And I’m glad to say that I finally own it now!

That katakana translations of both words are basically the same. Probably a misspell if it was in English.
