At long last we're done with Kirby's Amazing Mirror! Terribly sorry for the lack of Kirby content lately I've honestly had a hard time thinking of new ideas
Hey Vern, just wanna thank you for putting the FanArt that I submitted up, but wanna clarify, I DID NOT draw it. I was submitting on behalf of my very good friend To0Bee who was too shy to submit it themselves. (said it while getting it posted too, but that may have been missed) I don't wanna take credit for his amazing work.
I can confirm it indeed took them a long time to find their way to world 8 😭 And remember this ancient proverb: "If you can't get to someplace from one side, try the other side"
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror is definitely a big maze because it has amazing in it. I understand the pain that you go through when playing this game. Every one hit, you lose your power up. If one person pauses to see the map, everyone else's game pauses to see the map. If someone loses all of their lives and ask to borrow your lives, it always aims for the person that has the most lives(personally, I dislike this option, and my reason is because they can respawn with more than 1 life). This game isn't really loved all too much by the community, I think. This Kirby game is probably one of the hardest, so beating this game isn't easy because I can tell you guys don't like maze games lol. Coincidence, this is one of my favorite Kirby games, so here's my nerd side once more! For grinding advice: Always go to the goals, aka the big mirrors to get 1-ups, maybe be hard to get, but it helps! You can also find lives that respawn in levels. Fun fact: This game's areas are all alliterate, like Candy Constellation, Carrot Castle, Cabbage Cavern, etc! This also applies to other Kirby games with alliteration within the level names! If you 100% the game, that means finding all the chests and make sure that all of the rooms are blinking yellow, you can unlock Boss Rush! Also, you can be a different color Kirby in multiplayer! Also, the maximum health points is 10. That river current that goes up in Area 3 makes you go into another room by why did they program it to kill you if you use rock to go back? This game is something else entirely. I am so proud that you guys managed to beat one of the hardest Kirby games. You can't be called idiots if you managed to beat this game! I'm still baffled that Kirby and the Nightmare of Dreamland for the GBA isn't even on the NSO. The reason why I'm just giving Vernias all of this information is because I played this game more than 5 times.
i've 100% this game multiple times and it was hard to watch. xD also the lose ability on hit was a thing for kirby for a while until later games changed this (with the exception of super star.) i think squeak squad was what made it a main stay.

You know, the goal games aren't actually required for 100% 100% speedrunners just enter the room and get any chests within it (if any) for 100%, than leave

When the 3 finish the goal, the one who stayed behind calls them back. Then when the 1 runs out of battery, have a new player take their place while they get back battery in goal. You can repeat this as much as you want to get as many lives as you want. It also works with any goal, but the Area 9 goal has the most rewards due to being the last Area.
The fact that they were trying to get from area 1 to area 8 even though the entrance marked in game is the one unlocked via the big switch. So this whole time they are looking for a path that isnt at all what they think it is. 😭😭 (the in game maps are so stupid help)
Amazing Mirror is basically a 4-player Great Cave Offensive, and I love that. Hopefully we get a Switch remake someday that has more seamless online play and has more abilities from later games.
Congrats! That was quite the adventure! I remember playing this game solo and being underwhelmed, but this game just looks a hundred times better with 3 other people! I kind of wish Nintendo would revisit a multiplayer Kirbyvania such as this but mixed with Forgotten Land's mechanics.
Man this was such a trip down memory lane, and i remember struggling so hard in this game for months as a kid solo, seeing the four player experience i missed out was so cool. Really wish there were more videos like this, loved the mini series!
Yo nah i remember that dark mind fight taking FOREVER its so long and unforgiving especially the last phase where you have such a small window to do 1 HIT and imagine doing that with 3 STUPID CPUS omg it was rough
Playing this game with friends is suuuch a blast it was really fun to watch you all play it there were so many hype and funny moments really fun series!
Fun fact: Dark Mind's ricocheting laser attack is also used by Void in Star Allies, and they both have the exact same hidden way of easily dodging them. Just duck.

This is one game that I want to replay someday. I only got to play it on a crappy emulator on my school computer that kept crashing, forcing me to beat the entire game without shutting off the computer or having the page refresh for whatever reason. (Sucked that it was during testing season) I went into the final boss with like 70 or more lives because of how lost I was and lost a good 20 or something lives trying to brute force my way through Dark Meta Knight after he stole my copy ability. The CPUs stalling out the fight was the only reason I was able to get past him and that was the same reason I was able to beat the final phase as well. I beat Dark Mind with the lives in the teens, then the game crashed and I never got to play till completion.
As someone who knows how to get through the entirety of this Game without the map, seeing these guys struggle to get to World 8 with the map was really causing me pain!
Seeing this was funny ngl. (the pain and suffering always pays off in some way or an other) (I got an emu to play the game and I beat it under 2h 37mins on Phone)
Man I wish someone make Kirby amazing mirror but harder Romhack so Vernias and his new friends can played next year and give Nintendo more times to develop Kirby Amazing Mirror Remake on switch

It took 15 minutes and 4 Kirby pros to find the corridor to Area 8 and the Area 3 boss after all that time attempting various tricks that never worked
