I knew him well..he was a friend Mr. Gregg Liddle...he made all my boards for decades and in 1993 he sent me the finest example of a displacement hull surboard ever..it was truly incredible. I surfed for 56 years..that board was the most fun ever...so easy to paddle...to easy to surf on..
What a great video. Love the music, vibe, surfing, and scenics. Crazy how few views and comments. Just shows not many peeps are familiar with the feeling and the experience.
The most memorable part was the tractor footage😂Jk! The filming and score are top notch. By todays standards these boards are more fun to surf than watch people surf, but you really captured the essence of it beautifully. Well done👏👏✌️
how is this type of surfing any less ego than another? its still surfing in a deliberate and particular way as allowed by the type of surfboard and what it offers
I LOVED riding those boards. I am an intermediate surfer at best, but for some reason I just clicked with Kirk Puttnam's Liddle Death Maschine. Those boards work so well at Sunset Cliffs.
I lived here from 1973 to 1979. Then I moved down the road apiece to Mussel Shoals aka Little Rincon for 5 more years. I rode Greg Liddle hulls exclusively and I was a goofy.

I picked up a bunch at Puttnams house, and he gave me a history lesson about those boards. I love them

Beautiful. Funny how 90+% of surfers couldn’t even grasp how amazing this is!
Pure and simple enjoyment, no egos or “look everyone how I’m ripping” vibes.
yea its 'look how im ripping this hull, look how cruisey i am!'

Sounds like you need to try one
Had lovely times on my Bojorquez. Thank you, Scott!
