Wow. Thanks for featuring my custom sound board. It was a fun one to put together. And congrats on the final restoration results. You've taken a pinball from 0 to 10. Looks great. Sounds great too.

You’ve gotta do some custom sounds some time. Imagine a machine that says ‘It’s broke’, ‘cmon people’ or ‘micro farad’ in play. The value would triple 😅

Sounds like a candidate for a generic machine with low restoration value and messed up table art or missing top panel art. It could be re-purposed into a Joes Arcade themed machine.

You guys did a great job. With the new customizable sound boards, and the ability of print shops doing DTF printing, have you ever heard of someone custom building their own pinball machine? I thought it would be cool to take an old game like that that has been parted or visually really degraded and make a one-of-a-kind machine.
Think an 80's Saturday's cartoon theme, pics of different shows and characters on the targets and playfield with sound samples from the shows. Elmer Fudd, Roadrunner, Bugs, to Transformers and other could all be there. Licensing a game like that would probably be a pain and expensive, but if you were just building it for yourself, you wouldn't need to license it.

I didn't even get a pamphlet with my new games system. But I did get Bride of Pinbot to play on it because of your repair video on it. For some reason the flippers on this digital one seems too far apart and it fires the ball between them far too accurately for my liking. But, there you are.

JOE, for Replacement MPU boards for Bally, Stein, Williams, etc the newer Replacement boards like Alltek have a power up boot sequence that checks if any coil is shorted or solenoid is locked on, which resets the watchdog circuit or shuts the game off which only happens when turning on the pinball game during power up booting. I'm not sure why SS 70s and SS 80's don't have a power up boot checking for any coils or solenoids locked on. How can you upgrade and update the pinball games ROM code to have this power up boot sequence test for locked coils and locked solenoids? Try looking into how to upgrade the ROM code in older SS 70s & SS 80s ROM chips instead using replacement boards

I'd say the chip with the custom label is a microcontroller with flash inside. It says ATMega just under it, and that is an inexpensive microcontroller that you can program for a specific task, and it is rather self-contained.

Yeah, no thanks on this sound board. Great replacement if you use original sounds. But modifying sounds on this game is dumb. Great replacement for Squak and Talk boards. Weebly/Barakandi is good for 2518-32 and 2518-50 boards. This game and Kiss were never mean to sound like this and it takes away from the traditional game play.
