"I've done everything that Hank Williams did but die." Moe Bandy,
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 31 окт 2015
- Written by Whispering Bill Anderson, Hank Williams and some other writer. Old Moe is a real singer and Jimmy Capps, the guitar playing Sheriff, can't be beat. Jimmy Capps is from my home state of North Carolina. He is one of the best to ever pick up a guitar. Whispering Bill knows how to write a song that will just tear your heart out. No body else can quite match him.
I Love hearing Moe and Jimmy Capps is icing on the Cake! RIP Jimmy
This is real Country Music and I love it.
Went to Branson Mo to see Mark Wills on Larry's country diner and didn't know special guest Moe Bandy but also Buck Trent was there and got to meet Mark and signed autograph by the best Jimmy Capps. Best thing I've ever gotten to attend.
Bill Anderson is an amazing man. he can sing'em and he can write'em. It is amazing to me that he has written so many great songs that other folks recorded.
One legend (Moe Bandy) honoring another, (Hank Williams) while another (Bill Anderson) looks on in amazement.
I love when Moe Bandy always sings about Hank Williams.

Jimmy Capps plays like I wish I could.
Don't we all wish we could.
You can play like Jimmy Capps .
If you love music then it's in your soul .
This is one of my favourite clips of Jimmy Capps playing because it gives a very clear picture of his fingers at work. Just wish someone would do a book of transcriptions along with the charts he used.
I love Moe Bandy such a beautiful song and voice
Hard core country = Mo Bandy. Add great guitar picking and some great back up vocals and you have a winner.
If there is a better guitarist than Jimmy Capps I haven't had the pleasure of hearing him.

Moe sings good.
Hope I didn't disturb your sleep love you 💕☕
I've done everything Hank Williams did but die
I've had the Lovesick Blues, been So Lonesome I Could Cry
I've stumbled down that Lost Highway and I Saw the light
I've done everything Hank Williams did but die
I loved a woman with a Cold Cold Heart
She left me for another for his Mansion on the Hill
I passed her on the street and my heart fell at her feet
And I cried the night they rang those Wedding Bells
I've heard the Lonesome Whistle blow
And I've seen my share of Pictures From Life's Other Side
I've watched her rock and weep, [?] cried and try to sleep
I've done everything Hank Williams did but die
One of these days
I know it's gonna come my time
And like old Hank, I know I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive
One of these days
I know it's gonna come my time
And like old Hank, I know I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive
I've been Honky Tonkin' a time or two
Set the Woods on Fire, gone Howlin' at the Moon
Had a Tear in My Beer, and drank my bucket dry
I've done everything Hank Williams did but die
One of these days
I know it's gonna come my time

Where can we get the cd with this song(I,ve done everything that Hank Williams did but die. Moe Bandy)on it?
It's on Moe's CD, Lucky Me, available from Amazon.
Keith Whitley
sounds like me all over
Jimmy Cappa appears to be reading something as he plays. Is he just reading the 'Nashville' notation or has he actually written down his lead? Sure would love to get my hands on any of Jimmy's acoustic notation.
wat's the name of this cd
Lucky Me
Keith Whitley sings this the best Like most of everything else
i though it was the lost highway .???
It is in the recording. I do this song with our band.
if you send something with your name on it i can send you my address. i just don't want my name getting out all over facebook
i can tell you about about the reason. too
He's done worse, beat his brother in law half to death.
They do a nice job and I enjoy listening but keep it real, there's scadzillions of country singers and pickers that can pull this off just as well. What bothers me is what country has become since rock influenced it. Ain't really country no mo.
Not many if any will pick it better than Mr. Capps.
Kieth Whitley did it first.
