It's a long time ago since the battery in my cartridge died, so I can't verify it, but I never had any problems, and just followed the instructions on page 33 in the manual...
@@RegebroRepairs Forgotten I even asked this question. I recognized shortly after the fact that as long as you have a fresh battery inside the unit, the patterns will be saved even without the power, so memory card not needed. Good enough for me.
Do I hear a north germanic accent? Have been learning some Swedish during the last years and your perfect english contains some elements of the north germanic singsang.
Rimshot, hand clap, open hi hat, crash and ride has no individual accent on the 909, only total. The are all velocity sensitive via MIDI though, amazingly enough.
Tack för en toppenvideo ! Ska öppna min 909 för första gången nu vilket känns helt ok efter detta.
Brilliant video my friend! Gonna do that now with my 909
Jens: put your cover of Back 2 School back up on your channel... it's set to Private. I miss that jam!
Great video, my 909 has some issues with the pattern leds and I might try cleaning the connectors!
Did it work?
Do you still have your 909, I would need a set of clean 909 samples from a second 909, for a video comparing the sounds with a RD-9.
@@RegebroRepairs yes I still have it. Did not get it serviced yet though.
@@cryptout That's OK, I just need some clean sounds recorded from the main mono out. Could you mail me? regebro@gmail.com
@@RegebroRepairs sure
Cool vidéo
Do you know how to save patters to the memory cartridge? I have a TR-909 and I haven't yet been able to figure it out.

wow your 909 is in great shape! You mustve got it very cheap 30 years ago? I miss those days of bargain hunting for classic analog gear :)
IIRC correctly I paid 3000 SEK for it, I think it was 1987, maybe 1988. I've never toured or anything, so yeah, it's in great shape.
