My problem is how players expect you to play to their standards. Ex. Elimination, everyone expects 1v1s in a 4v4 gamemmode, and when you play the way it's intended, you get griefed for it. I wish this "ganking" nonsense was addressed more by ppl.
Great insights! I only play randoms so you described my thoughts in about every match. I used to get so frustrated about how teammates played but what I've started to do, is just lower my expectations. By doing that, I'm never frustrated. I found out when players didn't play the way I expected (playing the objective, not feeding revenge, 3 ppl camping one zone, etc) then I was losing enjoyment. So now, I expect folks to do that. And when they do, I'm not as frustrated. But Lord when they do play the objectives, it's so much sweeter! Cause they exceeded my low expectations! Great content, as always!

Excellent point about expectations! 👌🏽 If you set them low and don't expect as much, it can make the experience more manageable for you personally or better when exceeded. Now, if players can play to their standard, For Honor's SBMM should weed out the players that don't play the game the way you do or the level you perform at. The problem is that only works when the system (SBMM) works and the players are consistent. Which can be a crapshoot. I'm not perfect either! None of us are. But we're still making the most out of it by adjusting. In some cases, it is doing exactly like you stated, managing our expectations. Good stuff! Sometimes, I'll try and help someone so we can get the zone faster, and when I do, they leave the fight even with a lot of health. I'm not talking recklessly feeding revenge either. But what can you do? 🤷🏽♂️ It let's me know not to try and help players like that next time, and that's fine.
@starwatcher73 PsychoPati!! Some of the better lighting effects come from events or playing ranked matches. For instance, all you have to do is play 3 ranked matches with the hero you want to get the effect for and you will get it for idle, execution, and free roam/combat. There's a new ranked effect every season. This season's effect is called Svengard's Shield and you can see it if you scroll down through the effects. It's probably locked if you don't play ranked duels. If you don't like the effect, don't play ranked duels 😂. I only play ranked for the effect. If you played For Honor during the Assassin's Creed event during Y8S1, you might have the Welcome to Valhalla effect. This effect had green, yellow, and red in one effect! You also could've received the Assassin's Synchronization effect which is an all white effect. There's also a Sunbeam effect that shines light on you from above, it's okay, worth 5000 steel? Questionable. Vortiger's Dark Oath has a dark red look if you like that, the throwback event took place last year so you may not have that one. You will just need to scroll through the effects you have and whenever there's an event look at the free pass and see what they have compared to the paid passes to see if it's worth it. If you pop in and out of the game, just make sure you jump on at the beginning of a season and the middle so you can see the ranked effect at the beginning and any other effects that may be free just by playing during an event that's going on or coming up. I try to keep players informed because of my own FOMO but I'm not perfect. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching! 🫡
