Rupert is a straight beast. Will always be my favorite even though he didn’t win the “game” still won the fan vote million! Then he uses it for his charity! Such a big heart!
Rupert does seem like a pretty strong dude.
He’s like braun strowman
During Pearl Islands Rupert probably went about 225 lbs. So, yeah, he is a big strong dude.
Like Hephaestus or Ares
The early seasons are the best, they have the most original challenges and they seem less staged
I love these old school challenges. Pure will . Also love the wrestling type matches. Now all the challenges r basically the same. Some type of physical race components followed by a puzzle. Pretty much all the time.
Those harnesses can be so incredibly uncomfortable. After just hanging in 1 for a couple minutes it hursts so much

I miss some of the old endurance challenges like this one and the standing on a log one , they don't do that one any more.
First time I’ve seen him without a hat on
Christa is such a strong woman always being out up against other guys
And Jon is useless..Drake put him first than SANDRA (the weakest physical player in Pearl Islands).

That was 95% psychological, and 5% strength. Rupert just PSYCHOLOGICALLY DESTROYED Osten with that stare. Love it.

Nah Osten was clearly out of gas by the time Jeff said to not use the post as leverage. Rupert looked more steady than him for pretty much the entire challenge
I'm sure Rupertt staring at Osten probably happened well before the end of the challenge. Power of editing.
This is probably why Rupert is a true hero.
I miss these challenges over those obstacle courses that had been done a million times.
I was actually rooting for Osten here. Really wanted Morgan to snap their losing streak with an epic win
Osten gave a really good effort here. Especially considering how little food his tribe had and how he sold his clothes off.
@@jeremykrause153 the guy was deteriorating. He had multiple staph infections and a muscle guy like him without protein is going to weaken fast in survivor.
Sad to think that Rupert hasn't won yet! He maybe not the best strategist but he is a social player and physical one too
No shade to Osten but you can really see a difference between beach body muscles and raw strength here. You can tell Rupert is stronger than Osten.

The way Jeff said "one of you will quit" is kind of funny since Osten drops out of the challenge and eventually quits the game.
I was thinking that, probably intentional foreshadowing by the editors keeping that line in

Rupert had it in the bag. Always finding a niche with which to rest his arms a bit
Plus his weight, he could literally just rely on him being too heavy to budge while Osten was just all muscle no fat.

Not exactly fair - Osten's is pure lean muscle, can't compare to Rupert's brute strength. Osten was struggling so bad in the last phase he could barely last a min.

They did this way better in Australian survivor where the people on the other end of the rope had to stand on a small platform. There’s no point in the harnesses
