I chose Manhattan College because it was a great school and close to home, but the most important reason I chose Manhattan College was because they saw the potential I had. I was a lazy student in High School for my first three years but I kicked it into gear my senior year and finished that year with a 97 average. While other schools didn't accept me or put me on their waiting list, Manhattan gave me a chance and I graduated from Manhattan with a 3.2 GPA.

Thought I'd share my reasons with the "youngsters". I chose Manhattan College because I became a Christian Brothers boy back in 1950-54 at St. Patricks H.S. located in Newburgh, NY. From those high school experiences, I knew I would receive a quality education. So after serving in the U.S. Army, I began my Manhattan College education under the G. I. Bill. It took me six years to complete my B.S. because I was married and had three children by the time I graduated in '63 (BTW, same year that Ray Kelly graduated). Manhattan accommodated my need for an adjustable course schedule that permitted me to complete my degree.
