Hackle: Soft hackle from a pach, grizzly
Flash: Mirage tinsel pearl
Tail: Artic Fox, brown or black.

Hello, I had a question could I replace the fox tail by snowshoe rabbit or squirrel tail.? Can you use this on a put and take place also in size 8 or 10 then. Kind regards Herwig.

I tend to tie the Gurgler as a double for night time "surface lure" fishing, I too use the Gamakatsu stinger hooks. Good fly, and some nice ideas thank you!
