2:03. The question was about SS-65 being written on the shell. This is my console that Voultar is modding. The reason it has SS-65 written on the console is because it was from a place called Space Station 13 which was on 13th avenue in Brooklyn NY. SS-65 was the system identifier from them. The story Voultar references at 8:15 is that I emailed him explaining why I've never reshelled it. (I do need to clean it). I want the numbers on the console permanently as it reminds me of how I got it. We didn't have a lot of money growing up and the only way I was able to play SNES was at that place. It was like $3 for a half hour of play. I almost always chose F-Zero for half the allowed time. They had NES, SNES, Genesis, and NeoGeo AES games which were double the price to play. My dad would take me there when I got to see him on the weekends. We went there one day and learned they were closing down soon. I was pretty crushed (and probably cried). After he dropped me off, he went back and asked what they were doing with the consoles and negotiated to buy an SNES and F-zero for like $50. Seeing the writing always reminds me of my dad and how much he wanted to make me happy as a kid. I'm so happy that it'll be in my setup for a long time with beautiful video output. Thanks Voultar!
This looks great, thanks for the video! I already recapped mine, yes including that damn sound module lol. You clearly put a lot of thought to how easy this can be installed.
Any chance you could have a variant of the Edge Kit + Caps for the Re-cap? I wouldn't mind paying extra to not have to buy caps online since I would trust your expertise.
Glad for some pointers. for repair people/ I would of messed that up. that's to much work. I passed. Do mostly upscalers and plug and play. Cables Glad you pulled it off.
Consoles work as is. almost don't have to do it. Unless cracked and not operational. Then IDK. follow the tips. upscalers and plug and play. Cables are the way to go. even flash carts.
