WOW, congratulations!!! Now... Be sure to sleep inside ur new purchase OR...unless you have installed tons of Antitheft Systems...be prepared to look at your new purchase before going to sleep in ur cozy bed....and wake, get ready to go and SURPRISE!!! Your RAV just maybe....maybe, might not be where u last lovingly glanced before that cozy night sleep!!! Maybe...??? Ps all those security systems ( if you took those step) may all fail too. Just saying. Welcome to the high anxiety club...either ( maybe??!!) before or after ur vehicle has been stolen or marked for later activities...again, just saying.
Just checked the Toyota Canada site and the MSRP is $48,636 this must be with the dealer markup for Alberta. Maybe the $44K you mentioned Marcello was without the PST in BC.
I purchased one Limited trim. If I change the OEM 19 in wheels (235/55/19) to 17 in (225/65/17 -for winter) which is equipped to LE trim, will that harm the vehicle in any way (apart from mileage and speed reading). I assume it won’t as it is the same RAV4. Please prove me wrong, if that is not the case. Thanks!
Thank you for your content Marcello, love your videos. You had me do a double take though, the Canadian MSRP for 2024 Rav4 Limited Gas version is $47812, not $44750. With the TRAIL model at $43,612.
The Canadian MSRP went up 3 times in about 2 months (early December 2023 to mid January 2024). I picked mine up mid January. Also the Toyota Canada website includes $1221 of dealer fees, PDI, etc. You click on includes taxes if you wish the Toyota website to include the taxes. My dealer in Toronto removes their dealer cost of $1221 so it’s cheaper than the Toyota Canada all in price.
Does this model have the steering assist? Does it have the heated and cooled seats? Was that the auto stop/start by your left knee? The stop/start feature should be more accessible by the sift handle so you can turn it off easier. Thanks for posting!
I love this, Marcello! The 2024 RAV4 Limited is definitely for me 👍 What exterior colours are available with the beige interior? What's the waiting time like?
Just got my 2024 RAV4 Hybrid Limited w/ Pearl white exterior and nutmeg interior on 1/27. The dealer had one in route directly from Japan that I put my $500 deposit down on 1/3 so I got it in 4 weeks. I'm in Denver.
You did not mention the type of sun roof system nor the tire compartment. Does this come with a full size tire and is this push button or key start. Lastly, what exterior color options are available.
It comes with a power sunroof over the front seat occupants that can slide open or pop the rear portion open slightly. The 5th gen (2019-2024) Rav4s come with a temporary (donut) spare tire in the cargo area under the removable floor/cover. I have a 2023 and a 2024. What I love is that the spare tire compartment will fit a full size spare. I put a full size winter tire in there so I can also use it for the summer until the damaged tire is replaced. To note, the toyota steel rim on a full size tire will fit properly with the included scissor jack. For my 2024 Rav4, I splurged on 5 black alloy wheels for my winter tire set (one for the spare winter tire). On alloy wheels, I now cannot fit the Toyota supplied scissor jack under the spare wheel. The colours available for any specific trim (some colours and some two tone combinations are only available on certain trim levels) are shown on the applicable Toyota website for your country.
@@j.h.d.2153 hello. I just use The Club Truck and SUV steering club (I know these can be defeated by criminals in about 15 seconds though but for a RAV4 where there are so many without any additional anti-theft measures, I hope they move on to the next). I also use the OBDII lock from Sherlock out of Quebec, Canada. I have these on all three of my vehicles. I also always lock the fob (hold and press the lock button and press unlock twice then let go of lock button. You will see about 4 flashes in wireless key fob. To use again, press any button to wake it up to use) so it doesn’t emit a signal and for added measure, I use the extra small size of Silent Pocket faraday pouch for key fobs. What scares me most is the Loom theft where the poor design and location of wiring is easily accessible and criminals can unlock and start vehicle within a minute from the outside of your vehicle.
When will we know what year will the RAV4 be available in hybrid only, like the Camry is now? I want to purchase the last year for a non hybrid RAV4. Enjoyed the video.
I don’t know for sure anymore than the next person, but what I understand is that the last year for the non-hybrid RAV4 will be 2025. My wife and I are going to purchase one then for the same reason you mentioned. Last year for it plus we want FWD only (no AWD). This exact RAV4 in Silver is what we are waiting on.
@@DH-mf2lv Good deal. That drivetrain is the same as the ‘24 Camry non-hybrid 2.5 liter 4 cylinder. Rock solid and made to last many years w/o the maintenance items you have to be concerned with in the hybrid. Don’t get me wrong though, the hybrid RAV4 is a great vehicle - if that’s what one wants and needs, but it’s not a good fit for my wife and I. We do not put that many miles on our Toyotas and like to drive them only when we want/need to. With a hybrid vehicle, they need to be driven whether you like it or not. The Limited non-hybrid is (IMO) the best value if you are looking to get the most options. Again, built to last.
I don’t like the brown accents. I have a black interior and would have liked the black accents too. The rearview camera is not standard on the limited. You have to have a specific package for that.
Do you know if the 2025 Rav4 will be the new model, or 2026 will be the new model. There is some rumors that this current gen will stay for one more year till the new model year is 2026, sold in late 2025.
I just put a deposit last week for a rav4 hybrid limited. They say 1-2 year wait. I’m actually hoping it comes late 2025 to possibly get the new model.
DANGEROUS TIRE NOTICE: Get the Toyo Open Country A39 tires off your Rav4 immediately. They came with my Limited and I suspect the XLE premium also comes with them. First time on highway travelling at 84 kilometres per hour in rain with only about 2mm or less than 1/8” of rain the in very shallow tire ruts on asphalt caused the rav4 to hydroplane. I have never hydroplaned in 42 years of driving. I felt the vehicle having trouble (resistance) in 2mm of rain standing the the tire ruts beginning at about 64 kilometres per hour but did not hydroplane until 84 kms/hour. Getting Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 plus this week at my Ontario Toyota dealership after much research.
Excellent question!! What about the Antitheft Systems? Actually, THE MOST IMPORTANT question b/c none of those "extras " are going to be worth anything if the true owner can't enjoy upon driving off the dealership lot!! I'm sure all the new buyers way over in Africa, will for sure enjoy along with the Canadian license plates too. Don't forget about all the stolen contents inside the stolen vehicle. All organizations: GOV, Insurance, CBSP, Police, Canada Shipyards etc must all work together to fully stop the serial vehicle thefts happening across Canada. The stereo intuitiveness is the worst ever. The previous with dedicated source buttons was far more efficient to use and more practical. Nobody likes having to swipe & search for Toyota icon just to tune in a radio station. Radio station icons are too big, so more swiping to find the station. HD radio takes almost 30 seconds to tune in, while my HD radio at home is almost instant. The Start Stop is a great pain in the ass having to disable it constantly after starting ignition. The lack of 2 level compartment in the center arm rest also sucks for lack of organization. The motor's acceleration response lags, not nearly as responsive as the previous gen like 2017. This RAV4 gas motor is also really noisy compared to previous gen, engine sound isn't appealing inside the cabin. The cheap black softex vinyl seats keeps you sweating especially in the summer, skin sticks to it like any other cheap vinyl seat. Previous gen had reclining rear seats and fog lights in the XLE, not anymore in the 2024 XLE. Toyota is taking advantage of its loyal customers.
