Some footage from Disneyland’s Splash Mountain back in 1989 to promote the all-new attraction! Now that the ride’s closing soon, I’m trying to celebrate it as much as possible! Enjoy!

This ride is such a classic. Sad to lose a piece of African American folklore.
It’ll be interesting to see how they implement a mountain and waterfall into New Orleans which is basically a flat swamp land 😂

This is literally the stupidest idea Disney has ever done! Replace a fan favorite attraction because a small amount of people claim it’s problematic just because it’s based on the film that is problematic

So often it seems like the Splash animatronics' range of motion is reduced as the years go by. Both Land's and World's. Cheaper maintenance but loses the liveliness.

Yep. Although when Disneyland’s Splash entered into the late 90’s and early 2000’s, the animatronics were barely moving at all, but around 2007 I believe, they were replaced by the more fluid animatronics we see today. However, even those are beginning to lose their movement.

Idk, but the Laughin Place and Br’er Bear trap scene are especially bad from what I’ve seen. Not good.

Dunno why they put white hair on Br’er Fox, but I assume they couldn’t fit the clothes on Br’er Bear in Disneyland, but they had more time to try in Florida’s version? Maybe?
