I’ve always imagined in my heart that Qui-Gon would have been the one to teach him how to become a Force ghost, but this got some tears out of me. I thought Anakin’s hate for Obi-Wan would still be too fresh for him to listen to him, but…letting go of his hate was part of the process.
Me too, I know that deep down Anakin missed Obi Wan, Qui-Gon, Ahsoka, and of course Padme. I’m sure that Padme’s spirit has always been there (not a force ghost) somewhere in the force, and that she would be very proud of Anakin and their children.
Still can’t believe we haven’t gotten a scene of Anakin as a force ghost communicating with Obi-Wan or Luke in canon. It would make every fan proud of Star Wars again.

Thats perhaps still the saddest part that, even in death, Anakin still can't see Padme again as she is part of the cosmic force now, her life force has become one with it whereas Anakin, Obi Wan, Qui Gon and Yoda can choose to take a physical form and be seperate from the cosmic force.
According the book From a Certain Point of View, non force sensitives do have some form of identity and individually post death. The one story that points to this is Beru Lars Luke’s Aunt and adoptive mother. The story has her reminiscing on both Shmi’s death and she admits she watched with happiness as Luke blew up the Death Star.

In legends Obi wan taught Anakin how to become one with the force and in the canon novel from a certain point of view return of the jedi Anakin refused to lose his conciousness to the force and obi wan guided him to endor where he apperared as a force ghost
Makes more sense for it to be Ben. If you watch the ghost scene in ROTJ, Yoda looks a bit uncomfortable when Anakin appears, but Ben puts a reassuring hand on Yoda.
I always thought that Anakin could go see Padmé in the afterlife, but he would have to give up his force ghost ability, which is something that Anakin wouldn't want to do right away. I imagine first he would want to help Luke rebuild the Jedi Order the right way through his guidance (he understood better than anyone else what he and the Jedi did wrong). After helping as much as he could (and maybe after trying to get forgiveness from Leia), I imagine Anakin would decide to leave for good, so he could be with Padmé in the afterlife. That would also explain why Anakin as force ghost was not in the sequels, because at that point in time, he already left (not trying to defend the sequels though).

I wonder if there may be some kind of afterlife beyond even the Force. We often talk about Force Ghosts like they're souls of the dead and becoming one with the Force or "transcending" is like going to Heaven. But I don't believe that's what George Lucas intended when he looked to Eastern religions & philosophies for inspiration while writing what would become the lore of Star Wars. I believe that the Force itself is a living entity, albeit with no singular corporeal form. It's a massive energy being fueled by life, an organism without a body representing the essence of life and connecting to all life like a network. If that Force is itself a living thing, then it's possible there's a kind of afterlife which exists outside of it, a place where all life eventually goes after returning to the Force like it's recycled back from whence it came. I could be completely wrong, of course. But it is intriguing to think that perhaps somewhere, Padme has passed on and Anakin would someday reunite with her once his time as a Force Ghost is done. If characters in the galaxy far, far away can refer to "Hell", it's possible that at least some beings in that universe also believe in an equivalent to Heaven.
