SEC only plays 8 conference games and they always have a cupcake game at the end. UGA plays UMass second to last game of the year. WTF! Texas plays NM State ? What a joke
In your scenario of 4 teams with 1 loss the loser of the championship game could possibly end up out of the playoffs due to the number of 2 loss teams. While the game is a financial win for the conference it is a nightmare for the teams due to that scenario and/or injuries.
I don’t know what the solution is, but it’s really gonna be a mess after we’ve done this a year or two. Right now, the better position to be is third best team in the SEC conference, than losing the title game. titles are important, but compared to a national title, Nobody remembers conference titles. Third place team in the SEC definitely gets an extra week off, they won’t have the extra loss playing in the title game adds to your record. Not hard to imagine a popular third place conference team, passing up a second place team in the final rankings, after an extra loss. Making your conference title game and losing, looks like it’s going to be significantly worse than coming in third place in your conference, but you can still make it into the playoff. There’s likely a couple of teams that will happen to each year.
No three-loss teams in a National Title Tournament. That third loss is an elimination. Even the most amazing SEC teams with their uniforms, helmets, mascots, stadiums and legacies don’t deserve a shot at a National Title with three-losses in a National, not regional, tournament. The only people that would tolerate a thee-loss National Champion would be Southerners, because they think losing to a team in the South is better than beating a team anywhere else.
Overall sec nightmare would be b4 the conference title games if a&m, LSU, Georgia, texas Alabama, Tennessee all have 2 losses with 1 loss notre dame Oregon ohio st penn st Indiana Illinois Miami Syracuse Clemson SMU Iowa st Kansas st, 2 loss Colorado and undefeated BYU how many of those 2 loss sec team will jump 1 loss big10 acc big12 teams for those 7 at large spots
3:13 Texas and Georgia are flipped
Typo. Thanks.
Thanks for explaining 0 tiebreaker situations
We have many times and will in the future when the possibilities are more manageable.

Instead Ohio state and Oregon play the mighty Purdue and Northwestern! Congrats!
You know what you can do with your comment. The Big 10 has maybe 3 great football teams. So you can keep your comment and stick it.
8 SEC games is ten times tougher than 9 B1G games. SEC still by far the best conference.
80% of the big 10 is cupcake so maybe we should schedule more of the big 10 cupcake teams that way we'd eliminate everybody in the big 10.
@@charlesdriggers199r u dumb
1:47 there was one in the SEC East once
2003 Georgia, Tennessee, Florida. Good call.
Believe LSU in 2000 was a 3 way tie for the division (year we beat Illinois in Sugar)
Not that SCAR is in contention for the SECCG themselves, but they could realistically eliminate TAMU, Vandy, & MIZZ's chances.
There are tie breaking rules. I watched the whole video thinking you were going to explain them...
This is a screw up website
Its not really a nightmare scenario for a team that gets left out because they'll get rest during the championship game and still make the playoff.

We will have to play an SEC play off.
LOL 😂

The year UGA played Arkansas in Atlanta, there was a three ways tie in the west I believe.
2002. Arkansas, Auburn, LSU.
USC isn't very good but they beat the best team in the SEC. Not a good look.
This comment would be relevant if it was true
So which of the 4 teams would be in the SEC championship in the scenario?
That was to be the next step but my brain would’ve probably exploded. In a future video.
Im just here wondering if reality has set in for Alabama fans yet. They not making the playoffs this year
