About storks: there is social taboo that no Pole would hurt conciously any stork. We treat this birds like our co-citisens, sometimes event like part of our families❤️ Swallows have a similar, slightly lower position in our country. In my yard alone there are about ten nests of these birds and one stork nest. One of the most important Polish pieces of music is titled "Swallow imprisoned", in Polish "Jaskółka uwięziona". Monumental piece od music, you guys have to hear it 😍😍😍
The story of the figure of Christ in Poland has another twist to it by the fact that the one in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, was made (sculpted?) by a Polish sculptor who lived most of his life in France and even sculpted the world-famous statue of the Immaculate Conception of Virgin Mary over the Lasabielle Grotto in Lourdes. His name was Paul Landowski. Of course, the Figure in Brazil was too monumental for one person to build, so he worked in unison with some elite engineers, but he was the one who originated the artistic concept.
Crooked Forest is a unique phenomenon on a national scale, you won't find another one like it. It is located in Nowy Czarnow, just four kilometers from Gryfino. This peculiar forest is made up of over 50 deformed pines (they used to be more numerous). It is not large, covering an area of about 0.30 ha. It is estimated that these pines were most likely planted in 1934. The trees were deliberately deformed in order to obtain elements for the construction of fishing boats. The forest was owned by craftsmen who built boats. Originally, the forest was cut down every 40-50 years (currently, due to changes in boat construction techniques, it is no longer cut down and this one is about 90 years old). Crooked pines were created by cutting down pines at the age of 6-9 years, so as to leave the lower branch. Additionally, over the following years it was cut to create a characteristic shape while the pine was verticalizing (self-verticalizing is a typical phenomenon for pines).
I will add that as a Pole I do not agree with this film and I would rather call it *"Top 100 interesting Fucks"* and a lot of information needs to be corrected...
Still it would be far more developed if it was not destroyed by two world wars, beign the battleground for the fights. You rebuild the same towns over and over again losing resources and time.
this narrator is horrible in his pronounciation :D Piwnica Swidnicka - means (wine)cellar of Swidnica. Swidnica is a town. And we can spell it like Pevnetza Svednetzca :)
no they dont. They can do whatever they want with it. All other world biggest forest were cut out earlier so that nothing is left. Why would you assume that others cant do the same as you probably did in your country ages ago. Cheers from Poland
@nobaskikofane3637 Poland still has 30- 40 % forest on it's territory!!! So you want to be nature rich but wish for others to look like sahara!!! Poor people just wish to be rich but cut of the forest will not make them rich. We need to explain them!!

The pronouciation of Polish names by this narrator is actualy tiring for my ears :D Not 'Wawel' castle but 'Vavel' castle - as 'W ' stands for 'V' in our language. So its similar to how 'valve' word sounds in English :)

The triadic structure of religions, myths, fairytales and literature is common thiing in most of Europe - thats becouse it all comes down to ancient triad of functions named Dumezilian triad (after George Dumezil - French anthropologist who has recognised that this structure is appearing in many different countries from UK to India). The structure belongs to prehistoric and ancient times, when most cultures of Indoeuropeans (Caucasians) were based on this triad - we can see 3 classes in there usualy - 1. clergy or royal class, 2. aristocratic and warriors (or knights class), 3. plebeians - farmers and workers class. The structure can be also like 1. clergy and royal, 2. aristocratic and warriors, 3. creators - of plenty - farmers, and of beauty - artists! Dumezilian triad is everywhere - it can be best explained on examples - like versions of triad of Norse gods 1.Odin, 2.Tyr, 3. Niord, (god of wisdom, god of law, god of plenty (for vikings it was Niord - the Sea god), 1.Odin, 2.Thor, 3.Freyr, (god of magic, god of war, god of fertility and love), 1.Odin, 2.Thor, 3. Freya and Freyr (siblings). (god of vision, god of honor, gods of family, beauty, fruitfulness. The 3d function is the function which often was occupied by married couple of gods (often in Roman mythology where Roman gods of war would married Celtic godesses of conquered tribe), or by brother and sister (Norse myths), or by two brothers - twin sons of mother godess usualy (probably in Slavic myths), or even by only one godess of family, love, sexuality, fertility. Or those male gods of 3d function were peaceful charachters who rather like feasts and drinking and romancing with godesses than war, or they were actual gods of love, beauty, poetry and music. Or like the heroes of Tolkien represented in "the Lord of the Rings" famous adaptation by Peter Jackson - 1. Gandalf the Wizard, the oldest, 2. Aragorn the King, in his middle years, 3. Frodo the hero of plebeian class , the youngest - sacrificed. Or from "Harry Potter" where we have this typical "the story of 3 brothers" - There were 3 mages, who met Death on the road and 've tricked her to obtain 3 wishes for each of the brothers. So the first brother transgressed against the divine order bc he wanted to posses the rule over Death to bring his lover from the dead but as he could not be with her bc she was only cold spirit he went mad and killed himself to be with her, then the second brother transgressed by pride bc he tried to be the strongest of wizards and so he killed some other wizard in duel to get the strongest magic wand and so he become famous and another wizard killed him in sleep to get this most powerful wand (the more powerful you get the bigger target you would become), the third brother wanted only to avoid Death and "live happily to the end of his days" :) and so he obtained invisibility cloak to be able to go free but when he become old he shrugged off the cloak from his own free will so that Death was able to take him proper way. Becouse he was humble. :) The pattern is like 1. vision, 2. strive, 3. goal, or like charachters from fantasy stories and RPG games 1. mage/druid, 2. the warrior/paladin, 3. thief/plebeian/halfling, This triad is not something we must understand intelectual way - its rather we can feel it deep in us like something we "geneticaly" knew always :) We can spot this pattern in many topics, in many tales, songs, architectural styles, whatever the age, culture or language. The "highest" of those triads we can spot is of course the Holly Triad - God in Trinity from christianity - 1.God, 2.the Spirit, 3. the Son (the messaiah). I m sure that you can see the pattern here. :)
