this really puts into perspective how fucking painful it must have been for hua cheng to watch xie lian die over and over in that shrine, unable to do anything but watch. how agonizing it must have been. it's genuinely painful to watch this animatic, but it's beautiful. you've earned my tears and a big thumbs up :')

Oh my goodness, this was incredible. There were so many scenes drawn (especially horrific ones) that I’ve never seen anyone animate or even do fan art of! This really encompasses a side of the book I think a lot of people don’t talk about as often and it really impacted me emotionally!!! The ending oh my god. Thank goodness you had the little chibi hualian together in the end or I may have slipped into depression LOL. My favourite part was hua cheng’s death, the music right when he grabbed the flower!!! and when he went crazy because he got separated from xie lian when they jumped into the volcano. That drawing of his anguish and anger was AMAZING. Incredible work!!!!!!!!

I completely agree. I think we like to remember all the lovely sweet scenes but it's the horrific ones that really shows how much they been through individual and together.

I tell people who are afraid of reading the horrific parts that the story would not be complete without them. It goes beyond a 'light novel' and into incredible depth because of these things. It reminded me of reading Les Miserables, but better. They were heartbreaking, but indispensable to this amazing saga of love.

I'm sobbing. The part when Xie Lian says he is cold hurts so badly and when hua cheng protects the flower I think a part of me died. Finally the ending broke my soul. It was an amazing animation.
Tgcf is one of the most perfect story I've ever came across with one of the strongest and purest representation of love and your animation really captures the characters feelings it's really beautiful 😭 Thank you so much for your hard work!!!

THAT CLUSTER OF DARK BLACK FLAME AT 2:00 IS SUCH A GENIUS THING TO PUT INTO THIS ANIMATIC. The way its not fully animated yet but you get that feeling and mental image of it smoothly becoming a silhouette is simply, amazing.

I'm sobbing watching this, holy shit have I ever seen something so gorgeous??? the art is beautiful and paired with the music and the storyboarding!!!!! the scenes of all their most tragic moments and devastating lows, placed side by side like that emphasizes just how much each of their suffering caused the other to suffer, so much of this is so breathtaking. the 2:42 climax going back to that first moment where it all began and the rapid scenes with them together since was so moving just thinking about it has me crying again. and honestly I love that you ended it on the heartbreaking note of hua cheng dispersing, it feels like the final dowel nailed into my heart, this is a stunning work of art
Wow.. This seriously made me cry.. Hua cheng pov was very sad and if the story revolve around his viewpoint, the novel would be full of angts.. His longing and yearning for xielian is the most intense i have ever read.

The scene where the 'camera' lifts behind xl pulling himself out of the grave to show the rest of the graveyard really hit me hard for some reason. Honestly the shot composition and timing in this whole thing is inspired, your storyboarding skills are out of this world. Thank you for making and sharing this gorgeous video, it hydraulically crushed my heart.
I knew immediately that this song was gonna make it hurt. Oh my god I was screaming and sobbing at this literal perfection!!! Yes the song was fitting but WOW!!! You managed to capture the novel and Hua Cheng’s POV perfectly. His devotion, his love, his pain. This delivered all the emotions of the novel and more. I’m speechless. This broke me in the most beautiful way.

I have no words literally. This is without question the best hualian animatic I've ever seen. You've shown every single tiny incidents that played a major role in their relationship development. From the way hong-er protects the flower even when he's going to die then he neglects the same flower so as to help his god, his light to regain his formar glory when he falls in darkness then again sacrificing himself. The list goes on and on and on. I could literally talk for days. This is just absolute perfection. I want to say a lot of things but I seriously have no words to describe this. I absolutely love it.

I know that this is such a tiny thing and I'm not even sure if it's important or canon or whatnot, (I've only really interacted with TGCF through the donghua and fan content so my grasp of canon is....shaky at best.) but right at the end how Feng Xin and Mu Qing stop arguing at Xie Lian's grief just hits me really hard. They don't go to comfort him (which I think makes sense) but they do stop their argument in the face of the absolute sorrow that Xie Lian is experiencing.
Thank you for this beautiful awful (in both senses of the word) masterpiece (even though it made me cry)

I love a lot, this video summarizes the entire novel, it shows you the pain and suffering that the main couple had to go through, in addition to bringing back too many memories of the novel, the pain they experienced makes me sad but it also causes me immense happiness knowing that both are together to make each other happy, i love the hualian very much 😭😭😭😭💕💕💕💕💕

There is just SO MUCH emotion packed into the four minutes of this video. The ending especially killed me. I just hope when we see Hua Cheng dissolve into silver butterflies toward the end of the TGCF donghua or Eternal Faith drama, it’s half as emotional and heartbreaking as this.

It's been days since i watch this but it animation never fails to catch me off-guard how the entire animation fits so well with the song. The transition here 2:33 - 2:44 is such a tearjerker. It stabs right into my heart;;;;;;;;;; and how i love the panels in 2:04 - 2:16 so much!! It feels as if i can hear hc howls of anguish and despair right there and then. And the ending just evaporates me everytime, like you end it on such a good scene. It matches with how the song doesn't ends happily-ever-after too.
In conclusion, I absolutely wails watching this, great animation, thank you.

the way this ends is so heart wrenching my god. I have to remind myself every time that the book has a happy ending or I actually feel like crying. HCs panicked reaction, trying to break the kiln and immedietly cutting to his death is absolutely beautiful but I never want to see it animated again

It’s so painful to watch all the pain in the novel especially as a reader already knowing what events unfolds, but throughout it all we can see that clinging to hope just like the flower that bloomed through a rain of blood. It’s almost as if it represents hope and as long as we carry it with us we can bloom, standing delicately, yet strong. I’m so happy you managed to truly encompass the pain of the novel, but most importantly sweet bright moments that made it all worth it. ❤️🤍

Сейчас понимаю на сколько много смысла в них вложено и как они помогли мне не сдаваться в трудные моменты жизни. Поветрие ликов было олицетворением ковида, все эти ужасные события так напоминали мне настоящую жизнь. Я как будто полностью жила в этом мире, смерти и несправедливости. Сейчас всё хорошо, но я по прежнему плачу, вспоминая что я пережила пока читала этот шедевр

I guess I know why it felt like a lifetime since I last got this recommended, it was bc I had just finished TGCF two weeks ago, and about a week ago I started on another novel (2ha), and since the book is it felt like time fast forwarded because I was so immersed in the other novel-time travels differently in novels is what I’m saying, and since I read the novel it felt like I was in the novel myself and the time there flies pretty fast… I’m rambling again geesh.
