Some people eat dog meat stew in my country for comfort food during the winter time because it heats up your body temperature (at least according to my grandmother). And if you have a cold, dog meat helps a lot and it tastes delicious when marinated in lime juice, garlic, ginger, green onion, soy sauce, red chili paste, then stir fried with broccoli, mushrooms, and rice.

Without sugar/carbs bogging up your system, your body can break down calories more easily. At least that's what I grew up knowing
