I like the hot glue welds that looks very effective.
That intro was a blast.
jim white m8
jim white the effects blew me away
WOW. Cut the cans down to just the corrugation, and then in half from top down and you have the makings of an awesome kwanzaa hut. I don't even wargame, just D&D, but your builds are inspirational. I wish I needed a kwanzaa hut for D&D. lol
Quonset huts, for those googling.
Lovely video. Thank you!
I especially like your pace; no fat, but plenty of detail where necessary. Brilliant. ;)
Subscribed!
Thx!
I really like the look of the whole diorama. There is just enough rust to make it look real.
The best part from that whole movie! Lmao @ "granny grate" first time I heard that one!
Nice tutorial first terrain i've ever made and came out great. Thanks
Care to share a pic with us?? If RUclips doesn't allow a link in the comment, feel free to leave on my facebook Page.
great job ...
many thanks for showing and please keep up the good work.
Great tutorial. My only nitpicky suggestion is adding some rust drips like it washed down a little from weather.
The foam add in for a glue surface is genius. Where do you get the chip board? You use it so much.
Corvus5200 Amazon, search for "grafix medium chipboard"
Excellent, as always... Also, one of the best scenes in Zoolander! :)
How do one build a concave top for the tanks without having to go and purchase something sphere shaped and using that as a starting point ?

Soups on my friend, looks great!
definitely using that ladder
Awesome, the welds look great
Thx!
test comment
they turned out great!
Why didn't you do the grey before adding the rust?
Heh...love the zoolander intro. awesome.
Your hot gluing is so neat! Mine is gloopy and messy.
Love this one
Totally Fantastic!!👍☯️👍
you can add oxide red as well
So, working on the base and got horrible warping. Figured it was too much glue. Used the old like of encyclopedias trick and all is well. Now, I lay a basecoat on the foam and I have new warping. Curve seems to be at a different angle but can too thick a coat of paint cause this as well?
Check out my most recent episode 110 and see the solution in action. Key is to flock AND BASE coat first. Then white glue on the bottom.
Very nice. Was there any warping on the base after painting and flocking?
Great question. In this case no, because of the walkways at the top connecting the towers together (two axes of control).
Wyloch's Crafting Vids - ah. That makes sense. Watched other vids as well, all very good stuff. Did the Chem spill base warp? Only curious as it seems like a good way to make terrain bases.
D E actually I just had all my terrain out for a photo shoot, and all of the ones made this way (foam upon chipboard) have not warped. So yes they have all stood the test of time.
Wyloch's Crafting Vids - awesome. May have to try it.
Is there a preference to the type of glue stick? Elmers or other?
+1 These turned out very nice!
Make some Necromunda: Underhive terrain or space hulk terrain
For me
3:10 rust recipie
It also happens to be my aged wood recipe.
@@WylochsArmory Here I am painting oil drum / crate barriers :)
Not sure standing on a fuel depot is a good idea in a firefight....just sayin lol
Wise, no. Entertaining... absolutely. ;)
Great video, except Zoolander sucked! I'm pretty sure springing that on an unsuspecting public is a violation of the Geneva Convention.
Don Lemon Yeah, it's one of those so-bad-it's-good guilty pleasures.
+Wyloch's Crafting Vids Maybe the new MST3K will take it on
