@@Executiveinvestments- caught him at the line, not to win but caught him after dude jumped. His car squatted prior to the light. Martin caught him period.
Because when you stage there are two sets of bulbs. A "Pre Stage" and a "Staged" set. You can actually move the car past the "Staged" mark into what they call "Deep Staged" which means the "Pre Staged" (very top) lights go off. The red light is triggered if you move that little bit further than "Deep Staged" and turn off both sets of lights. If you do that before the starter hits the button you get a red light. But if you time it absolutely perfectly like he did on that run you can actually have the car moving into "Deep Stage" / "Red Light" territory when the green light comes only. Considering the difference between "Staged" and "Deep Staged" is a few inches (maybe 4" - 6") and maybe a few more before the red light comes on, you need to guess to thousandths of a second perfect not to red light.
The reason why there is a safety gap there after "Staged" is just in case you roll ever so slightly before the starter hits the button. If there was no wiggle room you could very easily accidentally roll through the staging light and lose. If you turn off both lights before the starter hits the button, you red light and automatically lose before the race even starts. It is perfectly legal to "Deep Stage" but you are gambling with your safety margin. If you accidentally roll from "Deep Staged" there is no safety buffer and you red light.
@@billymanilli yeah, and you are allowed to stagger your front tires some( there is a limit) so the break the beam to clear the beam is longer than one tire. @@bobbyross2552 just watched it and was 106° probably 140° on track, thanks for responding, working away from home don't have time to watch what I like
Esa madre vuela.!! Pfff que locura
Like you said, everyone has the same rules (far as green/red lights, anyways).
Sometimes guessing works out for a guy, like this time, but they still run the risk of a red light as well. What can you do though. Just keep on keeping on!
Have y'all named the grey car yet? Call it Smoke! Where there's fire there's Smoke!!!
That kid that does the channel Sim abcxyz said he heard in the beginning of the gray car they where calling it "ghost" since I heard that name it stuck in my head but not once have I heard it from them though. When Ryan's talking about it he's always referring to it as "not the red car" lol that name doesn't catch
Nice job Kolton! 💪
Was just thinking it would be sweet if Fireball posted a vid. But get a leaf blower to get the smoke out of the car for burnouts and to keep my dude cooler on them hot days like last weeks vid
Class act you the man fireball
Not familiar with these rules. Do you have to see Green and leave (like on the street), or is it based on the tree?
It looked to me, to be honest, you were late on the tree, @Rayn Martin (Fireball Camaro)
Do ya'all get slips? What are the RTs??
Not dissin' you, just asking. Great content. Good luck going forward.
That dude totally jumped haha. That machine must have been messed up. How can you crack your tires before the light turns green and that’s allowed? Class act Ryan is that’s for sure
Doesn't matter till your front tire crosses the timing light. Street race you could probable win the call.
@@duanebailey6253 you mean starting beam.
@A M they should alter the delay times so nobody could guess.
I was at the starting line and have video of this race and Jim Howe turning off the staging bulbs before the green came on. I think the timing system malfunctioned, it was a malfunction or Howe hit a .0000 green.
@A M I did not know that. Thank you for explaining it. Now I know, and yeah that is so dumb.
@ryan and @javier how many passes can you get on a full cell of fuel?
Also you guys are sooo valuable to Ryan, from changing engines to swapping rods no matter what it is you guys are the team that many dream of.keep up the good work..triple A+ in my book
Hey it was cool to get a glimpse of Young Blood helping. And losing happens sometimes. We all lose. Congrats for the guesser.
@9:55,, ",, did he have that $hit eat'n grin,," LMAO,, that expression we've heard most of our lives, it just rolls off the tongue so easily and everyone knows what it means BUT,, have you ever wondered the origin of the expression and WHY we just know what it means? I'm not going to copy/paste what I found via my favorite search engine BUT you can and it's surprising how new to our language the expression is. Anyway, GREAT laps Ryan Martin and team,, GREAT LAPS!
Ryan alot of them guys are intimidated by you and has to try and look for any advantage to try to win against you because you and your team are real winners 🏆 and done proven it multiple times already!
"If Steve (Petty) has a shiteatin grin, you know WE did something" ...
You have to guess the light if your gonna beat Ryan Martin
Well done nice try you get it again
Tough one!!! But good on keeping your cool
Good run winning team attack last night in Idaho team!! Now go out today and take that $40,000 and expand that lead
Screw the haters!!! Your team Rocks!!! Keep kicking there ass !!!
I thought the whole idea is to leave first ahhhh
Great position to take. Set the ego aside and have fun.
Let's Go !!!
Or not..id rather stay
The real spot you NEVER want to hear Touchdown. 🤬💯
Funny, you don’t hear that with turbos 😎
They would really get up in their feelings if Ryan started guessing. Really sucks. Happened again in Virginia.
No because he would chance red lighting as guessers always redlight at some point. You dont guess on a guy thats slower than you.
Have you thought about using the red car for the track since the motor sits farther back, and using the Grey car for the street?
Each car was purpose built for it's specific place.
Alway wondered what the round plug holes above the door latch hole are for?
Safety latch
Ryan was running his ass down!
Can't lose if your number 007🕵️♂️
U got this, look like u came around on top, 60 didn't work this time, its part of racing
Can someone explain to me how that left lane wasn't a jump...? In terms that I can explain it to my kid?
Guess they got rid of the no cameras on the starting line rule or did you film with your phone?
Guy got lucky on you most of the time they red light see y'all in Texas
Who is number #1 in 405 atm? We in Australia are months behind…
Gap Train kept a Roll'n All Night Long!
Dude your one hell of a ambassador for this sport...youll get an next time..but man what is the deal with these prochargers breaking so often..? Is it the 2 step or are you guys just over spinning em?
They are over spinning them and you can thank pro charger for that.
How was the track
Put it as a pro tree and put green in the bottom yellow spot.
He was moving before that light came on.
Good luck Ryan 405
Who is the guy in the red hat ? Class act is the Verry least we can say about Ryan .....
Who's BCOP (the tribute sticker on the car)
He cut a hell of a light
Who is the big dude with the red hat? He's always with Kye and Jeff Lutz now I see him with you guys???
Why didn't that red light with wheels in the air before green?
Good on him for "guessing". Not a bad thing. He just had a way better reaction time. Using basic, very legal, driver skill to try to win a race.
Lol wrong!!
@@FireballCamaro I just searched the NPK rules and the only rule I could find about this is universal for drag racing: you red light, you lose. He did move before the green bulb was on. But if the track beams are working (they have to be), and the red light didn't come on, he legally won the race.
Because they are going on a instant green the tree does not fiction correctly to give a opponent a red light. That is why there is such controversy for this tree style. It is not a accurate as it has been for the last 100 years of drag racing. We have all agreed to go on green and some people are leaving early and the rule enforcers are letting it slide.
@@FireballCamaro Thanks for the answer/clarification. Now I see why you're not thrilled.
My local track did the whole "list race" thing for a couple seasons and used an instant green tree. But I'm pretty sure they had a functioning red light system that took the drama out of jump starts.
they should take restriction off the roots blowers
This is pretty old 187 just posted getting to the track at the Virginia race you guys are behind by two weeks!
How did that light not go red, that must have been a 000 light. That was one hell of a guess.
The red light system on the tree was broken and they said couldn't be fixed by Sat...production, track and some drivers meet Friday night to discuss what to do.
Gentlemens agreement was the decision. If the chicken shit racers left on green like the real men Ryan would have atleast a 30 to 40 point lead...but instead every racer outside the top 5 in points have decided to guess on Ryan in a weak pathetic attempt to prevent him from winning the championships
But Ryan will continue leaving on green as per the purpose of instant because he's a man and believes in integrity.."Excalibur " and team fireball will go back to back
@@douglasenzor48 are you saying that the red light is non functional? That changes it into a non optional chase is a race.
@@DodgyBrothersEngineering that's exactly what went down this weekend at Virginia. Chase is a race with no option of setting.
It was a shit show
@@douglasenzor48 that's total crap, they should have either scraped the race or used regular lights. Allowing some people to cheat with no recourse is not fair to people like Ryan that honor their word.
Man that’s sucks. Loving the videos tho keep em going ?
Between you guy's and Big Country those pro-chargers are really fast but you need a dozen of them for a backup for your backups... Wtf all that money for 2.5 runs.
wrong but try again.
@@Executiveinvestments- What's wrong about it? In seven races between the two of them I can count six "touch downs"
@@davidfloener7539 You missed a couple and by the way you are right pro charger needs to fix this it's starting to look very bad and people are starting to see it.
@@davidfloener7539 wrong again. And you actually think youtube is real life. All races are put into this video. lol. These guys make 20+ test passes before they even start racing you idiot.
@@Executiveinvestments- so how much money, if they had to BUY prochargers , do you think they spend to be competitive, and then add the weight advantage that was given to procharged cars and explain who paid for the rules to change!!!!!!!
